For cimb 4.4% 6month unfixed deposit, after maturity date will the promo rate continue another 6month or back to 3.x%?

CIMB RM sent update:

6 mth Islamic FD 4.4%
12 mth Islamic n conventional 4.0%

min 10k.

CIMB RM indicated rate could change any time. So any time could change. Next week will have update again. Anyway yours still 10 days away.

Same day of maturity can withdraw during working days.

What a bad news, thought to go tomorrow for 4.4%..

From my experiences,cimb is the worst bank, or at least one of the worst,

-staff is quite annoying, always ask customer  to update personal info frequently
-website is unreliable  and unstable ,from newspaper reported last time been hacked and some people lost their money.
-fd promo infos are chaos, different branch got different rate, some even not publish and have to ask them then only tell you,just feel like they don’t like customer to place fd.
-fd placement website some got special rate and some don’t, but this easy to break by just use different link,so their system is unreliable.

I just came back from bank, Affin 4.23% offer had finish liao !    now only left board rate 13-60mths at 4.15%p.a

CIMB only got 4.7% &  with CASA 3 : 1, board rate is 3.8%p.a for 12 mths and 3.85%p.a for 6 mths

RHB offer 3.9%p.a for 10 mths

Ambank no offer but was told e-FD is around 3.3%p.a, (please log-in to double confirm if interested)

OCBC no offer temporary

HLB e-FD is 3.7%p.a for 3mths, (except for those got sms offer at special rate 3.95%)

Forgot to go to Bank Islam - please update me if anyone is just happen to get to know any offer ...

The problem with all this foreign FD, you have to change MYR into USD/AUD/EUR/SGD... with a lousy rate. And back to MYR later, so in the end you will earn NOTHING just losing money.
