Had an FD matured in KFH yesterday, I transferred the funds to my Affin account in Bukit Tinggi Klang branch.
This morning went in to place for the 24 month tenure @ 4.25% per annum.
At the counter, the lady says to me, "I give you 4.3% lah", I told her "yes please, thank you very much".
The amount I had place is not big (less than 30K) and further more, no need new funds, so I could add in some money from my savings to top up the FD.
However, the interest will only credit in when mature.

May I know whether this promo requires casa?

Affin don't require to open any savings account with them.

You can withdraw cash / cheque upon maturity smile.gif

I placed mine at Kepong branch.

We placed at The Curve once and they required us open saving account. I planned to deposit using another name but don't want to open saving account. Will call to check tomorrow.

Hi guys, if I want to place eFD in Maybank, the procedure is go to other bank and transfer money to my Maybank, then log in Maybank to perform the eFD? Is that correct?

For Public Bank OTC FD, I can transfer the amount from other bank one day earlier then go to bank the next day to place the FD?

if you don't want to create CASA, then interest upon maturity. If you want CASA, and want internet banking access, then bear in mind you will have to pay annually RM8 for the debit card...  thumbsup.gif

Great! Any specific documents needed for CASA opening at Affin? Some banks can be quite fussy .

I opened CASA around two years ago for conventional not Islamic, no specific documents required. Not sure if rules changed now or what’s the rules for Islamic.
