that CIMB unfixed deposit means what?? You can break the FD anytime and still get the interest?

Additional Features
Interest is paid upon maturity. Interim interest is paid every 6 months for tenures above 12 months.

Withdrawal is allowed with a minimum of RM1,000 and in multiples of RM1,000 under the same account number ( this is applicable for new and renewed Unfixed DepositTM account effective 18 January 2015 onwards).

A minimum of RM1,000 needs to be maintained except for one month Unfixed DepositTM placement.

Upliftment/Withdrawal before maturity is allowed but amount uplifted/withdrawn will be subjected to the following conditions:

1. For FD placement/renewal from 1 November 2018 onwards: For full and partial withdrawal of FD of any tenure before completion of its tenure, no interest will be paid for the withdrawn amount. For partial withdrawal, upon completion of the tenure, interest based on contracted rate is payable for the amount that is not withdrawn.

2. For FD placements/renewals prior to 1 November 2018:

i. For FD of 1 month, 2 months or 3 months tenure that is fully or partially withdrawn before the completion of its tenure, no interest will be paid for the withdrawn amount. For partial withdrawal, interest on the contracted rate is payable for the amount that is not withdrawn;

ii. For FD of 4 months and above that is fully or partially withdrawn before the completion of 3 months, no interest will be paid for the withdrawn amount. For partial withdrawal, interest on the contracted rate is payable for the amount that is not withdrawn.

iii. For FD of 4 months and above that is fully or partially withdrawn after the completion of 3 months, interest of half of the contracted rate for each completed month of the withdrawn amount is payable on the withdrawn amount. For partial withdrawal, interest on the contracted rate is payable for the amount that is not withdrawn.

I find that Maybank this year has NOT had good FD promos like last year.

Maybe Maybank not keen to achieve target on FD,.

my previous cimb FD (otc) @ 4.4% 6mth matured today, and autorenewed at 4.10% rate (6mth) 

forgotten maturity today, didnt bring cert to uplift it   


as for the interest, it was credited into cimb SA, but the timestamp is in the "future"

Only can select:
1. Maybank Conventional Fixed Desposit
2. General Investment Account i (GIA-i)
3. Murabahah Deposit Account (MDA-i)
4. Islamic Fixed Desposit.

And didnt listed3.95% for 4 months

Received a call from hong leong bank agent today. Told me got one savings plan that gives 8% annually. Min deposit 10k, then yearly have to topup min 6k. Anyone heard of that?

I told him to send me the details through email but he says HLB got a strict policy, have to meet up and explain to client.
