I told BI manager that I read in forum no need savings account lol. Initially they insisted open savings

Those of you who took the FDs with Bank Islam without opening the Savings Account, can you register for Online Banking?

I was told not necessary to open savings for fd tenure less than 12 months (I placed for 6 mths without savings account)

Are we able to view our FD placement from the Bank Islam online banking system?

Yes, very slow. Wanted to go there last week to renew my FD and coincidently someone
from BI HQ called me and assisted me to renew the FD off-site (I didn't need to go to the SP
branch). I believe they are trying to promote their soon to be launched Premier services.

So, I do think they are trying to improve their services.
