I'm going to get a truck next year for the first time to replace my honda city. My conclusion after some research:

Ranger - best looking truck but also most expensive, some reports of problems and spare parts

Triton - just fugly imo even though cheap

D-Max - cheap and not bad looking but engine sounds like a lorry

Hilux - good looking and ok pricing but too popular, don't want to worry about thieves..

My choice is Navara since I'll be mostly using it for regular road driving and some light off roading on the weekend going to my fruit orchard. Most comfortable ride with multi link suspension especially at rear a plus for my kids comfort. It doesnt handle really heavy weight in the rearbut thats ok since I will only be loading some light equipments and fruits from the orchard.

It all depends and what you're looking for in a truck - looks, power, utility etc..

My navara arriving this week

Guys, i'm thinking of buying pickup truck for daily use. Going back with family of two kids  to kampung almost every weekend. Which one of the pickup truck is the best?

1. Nissan Navara
2. Ford Ranger
3. New toyota hilux

i drive a Hilux Revo to construction site every day. Parking is also easy, i just leave it in Neutral without engaging my parking brake and leave.

this thing is tough and comfortable at the same time. And they do haul asss.

Hilux Tiger is severely lacking in comfort.

Dmax and Hilux is extremely popular in Thailand. Maybe that say something.

Ranger and the rest is also popular but not as abundance like Hilux and Dmax.

I will get the balance point of all, dmax

Good looking, reliable, not overly expensive, does the job done as a pick up.
