It seems not many are using Ertiga eh?
Any other honest reviews from other user? Or any interested user that already test drive? Any comment? I wanted to buy for personal use as well as for Grab but still undecided |

Front brake disc cover too close to brake disc, make lots of noise. SC fixed it by just pulling out the cover a bit... If lalu potholes/ bad road ok ka? Is it smooth or whole car body shakes/vibrates? Anyway enjoy your ride |

Anyone here bought executive plus models? What's the specification for tint given by proton? Is it good/worth the extra 3k? Or anyone here know?

QUOTE(joe_labi @ Apr 20 2017, 10:48 AM) EPAS: electric power assisted steering Maybe you should visit SC. Perhaps they can rectify for you. Plus you can test it at the SC just to be sure.EPS: electric power steering Both are same. Just different in how people call it. So far, no rattling issues when driving at rough road. The issue only happened during low speed turning. It sounds like metal chain vibrate, i am not sure what it is actually.. |

QUOTE(shirohamada @ Apr 26 2017, 11:06 PM) test drove last weekend. Is it comfortable? As in if the car passes pot holes or whatsoever uneven road.. Is it good? How does it compare to other car that you have/test drove?it's ok. feels bigger in person because of its tallness. this thing is still shorter than the persona or mazda 3 hatchback. you can call this a hatchback with a slightly longer wheel base. handling is ok, feels like a car, persona is better though. acceleration is fine, it's not a racekar, but no problem getting to 110km/h. didn't go any faster though. that would be illegal. haha. i've driven slower cars than this. revved it up to 4000rpm and you can feel the torque. not sure if it's fully laden though. manual transmission should be better but didn't test. better view out the window than a persona. the seats are tall, so it feels a little like a van. maintenance, if you buy now, before 30th of april you can get 5 years free service and warranty. the guy said the cost is slightly higher than other proton car because they use fully synthetic. as for parts, it shares suzuki swift parts, minus the body panels. but unless you get a lemon, the expensive parts like gearbox will be at least 10 years away to be of any concern. Does the bold part is good thing or a bad thing for you? |

QUOTE(ah_chung @ May 3 2017, 09:54 AM) Shocking news!!! You sure? Which service centre did you go? I bought an Ertiga last month, and am entitled for 5 years free service. Today I send my car for 1st service. Guess what! The service advisor told me that we only can "use voucher" (means free service) during every 10K KM services but the free engine oil in the campaign only last for 5K, which means on every 5K (i.e. 5K, 15K, 25K, 35K & etc) we need to pay for the service. Good one Proton! Meanwhile I am verifying with Proton Cars Facebook admin, still awaiting feedback from them. Read your manual.. Regardless of what oil you used, it depends on the manufacturer service intervals. Maybe its just that SC trying to get more money.. |

QUOTE(IamNOT @ May 3 2017, 10:54 AM) Manufacturer service interval is every 10k, same as Suzuki and Mauruti.. But SC keep scaring us saying the oil is 5k only... Then we should follow service interval. Its just the service centre trying to con us into servicing every 5k instead of every 10k as per recomended by Proton/Suzuki.If what the claim is true, then Proton is fooling everyone with their free service package if the free engine oil provided cannot last as per service interval Based on few pages back, the provided engine oil is Petronas Syntium 800 SE which is semi-synthetic. According to paultan : QUOTE The range consists of three lubricants, the fully-synthetic Petronas Syntium 3000 SE 5W-30, the semi-synthetic Petronas Syntium 800 SE 10W-30 and the Petronas Syntium 500 SE 15W-40 mineral engine oil. These products are compatible with the 10,000 km service intervals of all new Proton vehicles. Anyhow lets wait for the reply from the Proton Admin.. QUOTE(ah_chung @ May 3 2017, 05:57 PM) FB admin asked for my full details but I was busy whole day today... Didn't have time reply yet... will do once I am free... It is not the oil that matters.. Its how the manufacturer decides the interval based on your usage.but the SC said that actually we can skip the 5K one, but go to service BEFORE 10K or 6 months... Are you guys sure the semi-synthetic Syntium 800 SE 10W-30 can last for 10k or 6 months? If yes, then should be not a big issue... Check my post which i quote from Paultan, proves that the oil provided by Proton SHOULD last 10k which is same as the service interval eventhough the engine oil is mineral based. |

QUOTE(ah_chung @ May 3 2017, 10:34 PM) In my receipt, it mentioned that my next service would be at 11K or 6 months later. I think system is honest enough... hehe Put aside to those issues.. Since you have been driving the car now.. Hows the drive? Comfy? FC good or not?I guess I will just ignore what the advisor had told and the sticky reminder on windscreen.... case closed. p/s you can know which SC from the receipt... |

QUOTE(kokyee992 @ May 3 2017, 11:39 PM) Mine less than a week. 350 Kms. Quality of driving is good and feel comfy and sturdy. Feel underpower? Ouch..based on test drive by reviewer, they said not that bad leh.. Now im afraid U will also feel l@ck of power when driving uphill with 2 adults. So I doubt it can go genting with 6 adults without struggle. Overall is satisfied with this price tag. FC wise it is still early to guage Any other driver can comment? |
