My streamyx account is terminated after my unifi is activated. there is credit balance in my account so I requested the credit balance to be transferred to my unifi account.

however, the CSO reverted that my credit balance has been contra to RM0. And they said any credit balance of RM10 and below will be automatically adjusted to RM0.

what kind of logic is this? in what way that TM has the rights to 'rob' the credit balance from customer terminated account?

From my observation, when the fiber line finally reach at your housing area (construction)..it took about 1 month+ before you can subscribe. At my housing area last time, i saw the TM construction (for UniFi) at the end of February, then by the middle off April the UniFi subscription opened...
*
yes, it is around 1 month plus.

I get 28Mbps d/l and 11Mbps u/l. So i did change some settings in the router and I manage to get 29.++Mbps d/l and 10.++Mbps u/l.

Currently, i'm on Advance 30 package.

from TM's reply, can tell that the free upgrade has no obligation, it will free, no contract renewal needed.

Attached Image

from current users of 30Mbps, it is possible to upgrade to 50Mbps now to enjoy the 100Mbps free upgrade next year.

it stated the upgrade is subjected to technical availability.
i believe for one's current address, if u can actually apply for the 100Mbps now, u should have no problem getting the free upgrade 100Mbps obviously.

Technically, i think majority of the landed houses should have no problem getting a speed of 100Mbps and above for their fibre at all, as fibre this medium has a minimum of 1Gbps bandwidth, and it can support 1km and above of length without attenuation at all. So i seriously do not see a reason for landed property for not getting the free upgrade unless the bottleneck is at the TM back-end especially for those landed property that only receives the unifi availability recently.

i guess for certain existing high-rise unifi users that is using existing copper wire telephone via VDSL thru fibre may have the risks, again if the high-rise users have the option to subscribe to Advance Pro 100Mbps now, it should have no problem for next year upgrade too, if the 100Mbps is not even available to subscribe, then it may have a higher chance that free upgrade is not possible next year.

Currently which area confirm supports 100mbps? Not even all landhouse with ftth home right
*
i think if u go to TM point now to tell u that u want to subscribe to Advance Pro 100Mbps plan, and if they said it is possible, i dun see reason why next year 100Mbps upgrade is not possible rite? since 100Mbps plan has been around for quite sometime already, and it is always a option for any new users to choose when they sign up new service?

technically i really believe all landed properties should have no problem supporting 100Mbps given the medium (fibre optic) used, unless the bottleneck is at TM that their back-end equipment does not have such bandwidth to provide to certain area? confused.gif

Guys is 100mbps not fast.. Heard from friend he said is very slow compared to time. He has Compared both Unifi and time.
*
slower in what way? cannot attain 100Mbps for TM while time can? Shouldn't be rite?

seriously i feel my 30Mbps plan is real fast for all my needs, plus next year upgraded to 50Mbps will be even faster, that's why i am having dilemma if i should go for 50Mbps plan at RM229 now and get the free upgrade to 100Mbps next year. tongue.gif

besides, i noticed the online sign up actually showed the plan that can be subscribed based on the address keyed in, i guess it should be a good 'guide' on whether an address can support 100Mbps for unifi. thumbsup.gif

*

TM ripping consumer off again.
im the lucky 1 who stay at landed property who got FTTH

while my friend that stay at highrise barely able to get a stable 5mbps speed. i wonder how they going to give 30mbps speed to them or even PRO 100mbps speed.
er? i cant confirm but i can say 99% landed is rigged with FTTH.
*
go thru the online application process can confirm if can sign 100Mbps plan also.

besides, the online application does clearly stated the purpose of the RM100 payment within 10 days.

but personally i have two installation done in late nov and early dec 2016 recently i did not pay and i was not asked to pay anything.

laugh.gif whats the point of this? system is a go but infra is a no go

go check their TnC. still subject to technical availability.

u still can sign....when installer come and found out your place could not reach 30mbps still a no go
*
landed i do not see a problem as it is always certain it can support, it is more of high rise that's the limitation of medium.

if u can sign online for the particular package, it is pretty much certain ur address can support the package, from the system, it already stated the package is available based on the address entered.

not to forget, after application submitted online, one needs to wait till TM to call back to confirm the application, the TM staff will certainly check for the availabilty of the package for the address before they schedule for installation too.

So it has actually gone thru two rounds of check. if going through all these official channels either online or at TM point. u will be unlikely to encounter situation that u signed the package liao then end up installer comes then it said the speed cannot be supported.

no need account, as long as u are connected to any UniFi/Streamyx connection, straightaway u can start streaming using iFix, but maximum 2 concurrent devices at the same time.

First time installed unifi yesterday. The connection and account was activated but working for 1 hr only. Later the unit auth status light kept on blinking until today.  Link light is stable.

Call 100 and received message that restoration process is in progress and might be delayed... they better give me good explanation as to why this happen to some new subscriber... vmad.gif

The auth and link light should be always on in order to use unifi even though u dun turn on the router, is that correct?
*
my parent's house unifi also has the exact same problem since yesterday noon time, auth light keeps blinking, called 100 only found out that my parent house's area service affected, must wait till probably tues only can get restored due to public holiday.

my house's one has no issues.

For me, it took 4 working days to complete the upgrade from 30 Mbps to 50 Mbps. However, even through lan port, I only manage to get 47.++Mbps d/l and solid 20Mbps u/l. As i concern, it should be normal speed though. Here is my suggestion, I do call them everyday eventhough I apply the upgrade through phone. Try to call them everyday (if you have free time and you are cool) and force them to place your order first than others. It works for me.
*
only 4 more working days left before 1 Jan 2017. think i better not trying to do any upgrade now to avoid causing problem for the free upgrade in 2017.

now 30Mbps, if upgraded to 50Mbps should not be too bad even upload speed will be upgraded from 10Mbps to 20Mbps, then it should be enough. although rm229 for 100Mbps is really good deal.

yeap. The free upgrade "only" eligible for those whose staying in the area that supports 100Mbps. Currently, the 30Mbps in my taman quite unstable especially during night. However, 50 Mbps works well for me.
*
My area is ok. As the fiber infra is newly layed just in Oct 2016. I can get consistent good speed, no problem.

I think to get the tm services infra ready it may not be a bad thing, I am sure that newly infra should somewhat more superior given the better equipment they should be using. And the support for higher speed like 100Mbps should be natural as there is no reason for them to install outdated infra at a new area. biggrin.gif

Hey that's not bad. I should be able to get 50Mbps though because currently I can get 30Mbps steady every time.. Btw did they notify you through SMS when the upgrade is completed?
*
No. Only turn 2017 then will have news from TM. But my line is installed and activated in dec 2016 which is under the campaign that is officially written on web, so upgrade is certain so it is just a matter of time. biggrin.gif
