QUOTE(ad2000 @ Dec 19 2016, 11:13 PM) Steam game...yeah like IDM can resume download..problem is failed file integrity check, now file corrupt dont know how and why..haissshhhh.. Oh... QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 19 2016, 11:16 PM) like other said, it is meant to confirm that the service is indeed installed/activated and the owner will want to keep the service. Never ask why, but it should be a kind of security measure by TM. It must be done within 7 days after service is activated. I see because I applied via agent and I submitted my IC which I crossed of course and didn't require to pay anything. When I applied that time, no free 1 month and this agent gave me free. Installation was so swift, can be installed within 2 days but I wasn't free and pushed to weekend. This was in 2014. Last year recommended my foreign friend and same pleasant experience, deposit for foreigners is waived and free 1 month too. Installation was done within the same week. Never been asked for any payment or being charged with anything. All done with just WhatsApp. In fact, if applying via agent, they cannot ask for photocopy of ic but instead the agent will need to bring a machine to read the owner's ic for verification purpose instead. Another security measure by TM. So it seems like TM had imposed a lot of new security measure for services applied via agent or other third party dealer. Maybe previously there are many dispute cases. but best no matter how it is to apply via online. Safest plus one mth subscription. It is super time consuming process for online application, one week time before they call to confirm the application after submitted application online. Probably another one week minimum for installer to arrange an appointment. But TM online had done a good job to terminate the streamyx (for users who upgrade) immediately after the unifi is activated. Rather hassle free. And online application does not need the rm100 thingy. This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 19 2016, 11:27 PM |

QUOTE(Zi-Tech @ Dec 20 2016, 08:43 PM) off course can... if not high rise la with copper line.... but if on same family, why need another internet line? except if want as a backup... Well, in order to ensure Internet is ever ready, install UniFi first before terminating Streamyx. Else, there may be situation where UniFi is yet to be installed but Streamyx already terminated. That's the reason I asked, moreover different account name, no need to terminate and apply. Can do one after one. How much can pro-ration cost? |

QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 21 2016, 05:24 PM) 'serious? Yes, as your plan as of 31st Dec will determine your free upgrade in 2017.if yes, maybe i should really consider for this. extra rm50 for 2x more download speed and 2.5 more upload speed is really a good deal. How did you upgrade to 30Mbps? Fresh application or free upgrade? |

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Dec 23 2016, 11:27 AM) For people who still wondering whether Unifi users who subscribed before Dec 2016 are eligilbled for the upgrade or not, or still assuming that the free upgrade is only for the users who subscribed In Dec 2016....etc. I will give them a good lesson if they don't give me free upgrade, not the first time I complain to MCMC and I will make sure to pursue on this later. I'm sure they have more existing users prior to Dec 2016 than their new applications in Dec 2016.With all due respect, this is totally not worth to be worried about. If the free upgrade is only limited to newest subscribers, the existing users sure will go chaos and I am sure all hell will break loose in no time. Do you think TM will go for such a stupid move? And ya. I am sure some of you would say their T&C and FAQ doesn't mention anything about the existing customers. There's no source and news indicating that the existing users will get the free upgrade. Please la people. They did not mention it doesn't mean they will ignore the existing customers. Most likely, the T&C and FAQ will be changed once again after the Dec promotion. Common sense people, common sense. |

QUOTE(iguana_dude_619 @ Dec 23 2016, 12:31 PM) sorry if the question was answer before. No changes for them as per FAQ. what happen to current 100Mbps user? that pay rm300+ monthly once the 50Mb user get upgrade to 100Mb for free? existing user get a discount? 50% off. or get bump to 200Mb? If existing 100Mb user get 50%. I'll upgrade mine right now. I wanna cheaper rate but min 50Mb. I really think TM is chopping their vegetable head. Anyway, once it is implemented, I'm sure existing Pro 100 users will complain if really no changes for them (speed or/and price). |

QUOTE(lolabunny123 @ Dec 23 2016, 12:46 PM) I requested to upgrade my Unifi plan from 30Mbps to 50Mbps and the TM staff said it'll take around one week for the process to complete. Is this true? Why does it take such a long time to process? I thought maximum it will take 48 hrs only. Yes, a week. Where did you hear about 48H?But usually it is done less than a week. Mine was few days. |

Ruby Pack RM30 still charge accordingly since day one installed. Maybe they have changed. It's OK la, RM 30 only. QUOTE(yorkhan @ Dec 23 2016, 02:52 PM) U recently subscribed or long time? Long time already.Mine is showing 199-20.. then add 30 for hypptv. So total 199 exclusive gst. Mine is RM 169-20 for Internet and RM 30 for HyppTV. Total is RM 179 excludes GST. When did you apply? I thought now there is also promo of RM 179 (excludes GST) for Advance 30? This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 23 2016, 03:00 PM |

QUOTE(1tanmee @ Dec 23 2016, 03:34 PM) I am currently subscribing (Since Oct'15) : No, cannot get rid of HyppTV, minimum RM 30. You probably can downgrade to the lowest package of RM 30 since already over 1 year, try calling TM.Unifi30 package (RM169) + Jumbo Pack (RM60) = RM229 Can I downgrade my HyppTV package to the free package? RM60 is quite pricey, considering there are hardly any good channels to watch anyways. |
