i experienced the same as well. i put my phone 90 degree, towards the right side (MST side).. most of the time it works.


yesterday i tried twice, not working.
i believe when the error message "transaction rejected“ straight away appear without delay, it is usually due to card-reading failure
then the cashier told me to put my phone at 45 degree during my 3rd attempt. then it worked.

not sure whether it is related or not (angle of putting the phone relative to magnetic swipe reader)

after level 16, no more samsung reward points right?

5 minutes gap in order to earn points irrespective of same or different shop

If the gap is less than 5 minutes--
When u activate the payment mode there will be a message on screen to remind that you can only earn points every 5 minutes

went kenny roger Aeon Kinta City, was told that samsung pay is not accepted coz their system unable to capture the card information. I then use MST to "swipe" at their cashier machine, all the staff jaw drops... lol

normal... tap second time is to print the actual receipt .. you will notice that when you tap for first time, there is transaction notification in samsung pay, however there is no transaction notification when you tap second time.


*for those who pre authorize higher amount than actual purchase amount, it is recommended to print the receipt stating the actual purchase amount.

answer to your question: not mandatory..


for example, if your first tap is rm100, and you pump rm100, no need to print actual receipt

if your first tap is rm100, but you pump rm90 (less than rm100), it is better to print the actual receipt, as a proof that you pump RM90 --> just in case got dispute later on. (although very rare)

visited Subway, Faculty of Dentistry Universiti Malaya last week. they refuse to accept payment by card for amount less than RM30.
I just emailed to
- Subway Malaysia
- Citibank (the card terminal acquiring bank)
- Bank Negara

lets see what is their reply
