For knowledge base and sharing, we should gather more data to justify for the situation.
Like the outage 2 weeks ago, was it isolated to Visa or MC? Was it isolated to MBB terminal? Bla Bla

Almost all of those type of merchant terminals are running on mobile data.

You can see their designated carrier names on the screen and their signal strength.

Thanks for the enlightenment. sweat.gif

Yes, that is the most unfortunate case with the smaller cafe's. Even some mid sized restaurants also use these kinda merchant terminals. Kinda frustrating when you want to use Samsung Pay.

MBB is promoting QR payment.
They expect SME to use this QR payment thingy.

Wasted lots of my transactions yesterday. Lol.

Interesting that consecutive transaction for this contest is 10 minutes apart. No chance to do separate transactions in 1 counter. Which is great.
*
Just registered for it.
I don't hope of getting anything out of it.
Still 22 swipes more to complete for the month!

The Note 8 contest is from today until 15 May. So maximum number of transactions will be 100, 50 from this month and 50 for May. That is if a person has not done any transactions this month. So for those who have already made some transactions this month, then chances will be lower. I think it's meant to get those who don't use spay much to use more now. First 5 will get Note 8, and the next 50 to get battery pack.
*
Even though you have reached 50 of the month, it doesn't restrict you not to use SPay further for the contest.
You can swipe with SPay but just no points awarded.
Like last month, I managed to complete 50 swipes few days earlier.

I remembered one guy here got access to CC terminal.
He shared that he won a lot of powerbanks and wireless charger (UFO variant).
Is that guy still around?

Went to swiping just now.

Found 2 interesting stuffs:

1. McD self service kiosk interface has been updated. A new page alerts user for "Card Insertion". Meanwhile, after months of launching, Tesco still hasn't fix the bug of Wave transaction at the self checkout counters.

2. At Tesco, a mid-aged housewife was impressed that I carry Tesco Clubcard on the phone when I showed to the cashier for scanning the barcode. She asked phone also can use. I told him why not; just download Tesco Clubcard app even though I didn't fully disclose that I was using SPay app instead. LOL

means mcd self service cannot use spay anymore?

What the benefit of tesco card?

Anyone know how to use with ikea card?
*
1. Still can. Just some extra page for alert user.

2. I'm a heavy Tesco shopper. Having a Club Card meant for points collection and they'll send you customized discount vouchers to you based on your shopping behaviour.

Frankly speaking the whole TnG architecture is so dinosaur.
The recent mobile wallet app launch with the aim to link to the physical card is a major failure!

If it's not because of the toll system and forced to use it, I have already dumped it very long time ago!
