i run, no weights.
i usually have a big swig of water and maybe a snickers bar then have breakfast after. having too full or too empty of a stomach messes up my run |

Used to have some light things like banana and protein shake but then figured that I work better just having either pre-workout or coffee on empty stomach.

QUOTE(JJonathan @ Dec 10 2016, 05:37 PM) The Truth: You should always eat something like fruits before exercising so your body has enough fuel to power through your workout. The rationale behind this widely accepted myth is that forgoing food before exercise will force your body to burn more fat during your workout. |

It depends, fasted training work well to me.
I workout every morning (weekday 7.45am - 8.45am) with empty stomach before going to office, take fat burner (caffeine) 45 minute before workout. Getting stronger, muscle mass increase, fat loss (Look at mirror, pants become looser and belly become smaller, , but weight never drop... still observing is it water retention or building muscle while loss fat although many said it is not possible, FYI i am in calorie deficit diet now) |

I feel very sluggish and tired whenever I have anything before I workout. I've tried banana, protein shake, full meal, crackers etc. but figured I just work best with only either pre workout or coffee. |

Try and error ts.. see what works best for you ... take Vit B complex before morning workout will boost your metabolism.. try with and without bf.. I take without bf awesome feeling.. Can feel the burning.. then try coffee with or without bf.. also works for me.. DON'T take both coffee and Vit B complex.. counter productive

I remembered last week i ate oats and eggs then coffee before workout some more im doing legs. I was hoping i could get some energy but turns out really bad.I even don't know what's wrong or i feel really fatigue and tired. That moment i know it's a mistake for eating a bit too much |

I find that if I need to workout in the morning, light breakfast such as 2 bananas really help me to power through my workout. Light stretching helps alot too since early in the morning my body is usually stiff especially my lower back, calf and shoulders.
I tried fasted training and cant use more than 80% of my 1Rep Max. Long story short, have something light before your workout lol. |

i agree to some other comments.. trial and error.. i use to take eggs and oat morning before workout.. then after heavier lifting later stage a bit dizzy.. then swap to oat + whey + slight coffee.... works better.... so morning i just take oat + whey and a bit black coffee... after exercise then just makan bread or whatever....

I don't train in the morning but my last competition, my flight was lifting in the morning. I was loading on carbs like crazy the night before but that morning I still feel a little bit sluggish. I found eating lots of small snacks to help with my performance on that day. I ate bread with sweetened condensed milk, kit kat, buns, anything carby and easily digested. My point here is, for maximal performance in the AM, you wanna eat as much carbs as you can handle without feeling too bloated and drink a lot of salted water (about 1000mg of sodium and 400mg of potassium for every liter of water you drink). The salted water will boost performance and prevent cramping. Not sure about BCAA because I never used it before but I heard a lot of positive reviews of it.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Dec 30 2016, 09:50 PM) This is a wrong idea. Your workouts at the gym is supposed to maintain or build muscle. You "burn fats" outside the gym. Haha. Bro, if you dish out this concept you confuse them even more. They always think that when you bang yourself in the gym they are loosing fats in there. Gotto tell them more about how post gym will continue to burn fat with diet |

Calories in vs calories out. It doesn't matter if you train on an empty stomach or not.
