can i ask a off topic noob question?

what about airforce pilot un malaysia?anyone knows about it? tongue.gif

There are basically two types of airforce personnels - pilots and ground crews. Basically for the pilots their trainings are of course more stringent but they also need a certain qualification/credits from their studies to make it. Most people make it to the airforce by just being a ground crew or maybe an airborne trooper. The Royal Malaysian Air Force elites are known as PASKAU (Pasukan Khas Udara), something like the SEALs in the US.

Salary in the military are different as they pay according to ranks, no matter whether you are a ground crew or a pilot. They of course do not have flying allowances like the commercial pilots cool2.gif

Not very sure and do not know whether the above is accurate or not since I was from ROTU Navy and I hear bits and pieces for Army and Air Force stories... Anyone from the Air Force here?

MAS co-pilot starting salary RM8000 will reach RM20k with experience, when u get promoted to become a captain, your starting pay will be around RM20k and will move up all the way to RM40k when you fly bigger aircrafts..... my fren just got promoted to become a captain for 737... heard he's getting about 20-22k..... and he's only 30yrs old......
