QUOTE(carpathia @ Jun 27 2019, 07:49 AM) Long term lo..... preparing a proper spot to put airbrush station to vent air out. Depending on requirement the air compressor,By the way, which shop carries MIG paint in KL ? only see Tamiya everywhere 1. Silent type with small tank. Good - Best suit for personal room/small station setup - Silent and won't cause inconvenient to other peoples - Small and easy carry move around - No much maintenance needed, just release water from tank. Bad - Usually China/Taiwan brand selling in MY, cost a bit between RM400 to RM800+ depending on spec. Branded one would be like sparmax or Iwata air compressor (around 1k+) also very difficult to find shop selling. - Depending on how many horse power of the compressor the stored air mostly cannot catch up usage and tend to get overheat easily from continue running. 2. Big and extreme loud type Good - Best value for money, cost around from 200+ can get one - Can have huge tank won't need to keep running - Only run 2-3 times to refill air for the 3-4 hours session (at least for me) Bad - Loud, really loud (no joke) - Huge and big - Require separate buy air brush accessories (air + oil catch filter) - Require some basic DIY skill to find and install adapter, air horse cable to plug in the air brush accessories (easy obtainable from paint shop that also selling air compressor, there are everywhere can match for you) Personally I tried both above and now using the big one (cost me about 300-400 including air filter accessories), I may DIY a silent box to keep the noise isolated later in future. Both have its own pro and cons but it just up to personal requirement and preference. For me this is the must in hobby air compressor 1. A tank - Must have for consistent airflow and minimize compressor run keep running as you use it. 2. Air filter - to keep moisture away, especially in MY weather. I would recommended drop by ATT Angel Trend Trading hobby shop at batu caves there have all the things you will need also the boss is very friendly may help you with the setup. |

QUOTE(carpathia @ Jun 27 2019, 04:33 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thank you sir. i am thinking of getting sparmax as it seems to be highly recommended for long term usage by lot of people. ATT (Alex) also sells water curtain spray booth, but costs about RM900 + worth it? |

QUOTE(adix4 @ Jul 24 2019, 02:30 PM) Just started gunpla and wanted to ask a few question I been buying gunpla from few countries (Japan, China Taobao, Hong Kong, MY) previously and generally I won't recommend buying normal release gunpla and have it ship to here, it just doesn't worth at all overall time, effort and money. Unless it is P-bandai or rare stuff but most online seller here do pre-order on new release those if you put effort search them. 1) buying from Malaysia or direct from Japan, which one is cheaper? Can see that shopee is selling quite cheap but unsure in Japan how much 2) any shops online that you can suggest? Malaysia or Japan that is cheap lol Our local gunpla price are ok consider some shipping, tax, storage, operation cost etc so definitely price will be sightly higher but it is mostly fair price. |
