nope, limited edition supercars/hypercars belong to different type of owners wont be seeing any of those rented out for a drive. for display maybe but for rent to some posers with raging testarone noway

Yup. Ok. You may be right on this.

What is stopping a poser who locates an owner and ask permission from the owner to take picture of himself inside the car. I have friends whom have done that sort of thing before. Some of them even went to the showroom overseas and sat inside the car just to take picture of them inside it.

For a wannabe, the sky is the limit. The point is that really rich people will want to keep a low profile and not expose themselves to strangers online. You will never see Bill Gates flashing his wealth online nor Jack Welsh taking picture of himself inside a limited edition McLaren while flashing his solid Gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.

From my observations, those who will have many wants are less happy than those with many needs.

You can tell that a person is wealthy when the person dressed very simple but neat with no visible labels. Only a poor person will show off their designer labels.

A wealthy person spends more on food than on electronics and fashion. Only a poor person would spend their food money on the latest gadgets and handbags.

There are tell tale signs when a person is financially secured - he/she still travels abroad even when the ringgit is tanking, he/she's wallet is stuff full of 100 ringgit notes and only pays with cash all the time.

Other telltale signs include a mid tier car but with an expensive old number plate (single or double digit) which shows that the person is from an old rich family.

Does not like to show off. Very low profile about his life or where he lives. Also will try to not show off his watch and downplays it when friends notice his expensive watch.

Poor people would buy a car on 7-10 year loan and would usually buy entry level cars from Mercedes, BMW. A-class and 1-series are cars of choice for posers.

Poor people also wear designer labels on the outside and make sure people notice their fake watch or entry level watch. Rich people will go for the mid tier pricing for any luxury watch brands they buy into. The expensive upper tier of a luxury brand is reserved for posers whom saved up for a decade or more to afford it but after that, cannot afford to service the watch as it costs 4-5 digits to repair it every 3-5 years.

Poor people drink at bars and clubs where overpriced drinks are being sold. Rich people drink at home in their mini bar away from the noise and bar plebeians.

Anything else that I missed out? Looking at my list, I think I am more poor than rich.

some rich ppl although they look v modest but they do spend a lot. they might not buy much gadgets but they buy antics. the things that poor see like luxury is actually not luxury to some rich ppl. some super rich ppl dun own sports car but they own private jet or yacht.

rich people dont show that they're rich.
whereas poor people or people that aren't as rich try their best to look rich but can barely afford it

And the irony about some wannabe rich people is that they LOL at the truly rich ones for being humble and not enjoying life to the fullest with their wealth.

mentality taik kucing

Richard Branson, Jack Welsh, Bill Gates, Li Ka Shing and the recently deceased Steve Jobs are poor by your definition then?

And 50 cents, Missy Eliot and other bankrupt rappers are ultra rich in your eyes??

very romanticized view of rich people. is it because you dress poorly so by association you believe you're also cut from the same cloth as them? lol.

do you know about li ka shing's car collection? or his h baromon bespoke suit? or richard branson's lifestyle? the clothes he wear, the yachts he own and the money he splurges on women?

The stuff they own may be expensive but they are low profile about it. The clothes they wear do not have labels on the outside. They look like your everyday clothes except that they are bespoke. They don't post on Instagram their 'wealth'. Rich people are all about discreet wealth.

If you cannot understand that, then you are also not cut of the same cloth as them.

Plenty to take into account for a person's personality or attitude. You will have to see whether they are selfmade or second or third gen rich as well. And poor people not all are showoffs either. Rich or poor does not define one's attitude.
