that's much lower than i expected.. i know FSA price their components quite fairly... but didn't thought they were that low...
but have you check how much weight you are reducing for that price?
*
Thats the thing bro ..
I'm not sure bout the weight .. esp the weight of my stock mongoose parts

yeah.. hold that thought.. or just research if some 7075 bars and stem can lower the simillar amount of weight for half the price...
why not some avid xx or elixirs instead of the shimano ones? but i do hear that the avids have some problems of their own.. like the lever is mushy if left unused for a period of time and needs a couple of pulls before they get up to working conditions after long periods...
*
exactly ..
spent some time chitchatting with the shop owner just now
he was telling the same .. servicing the avids is such a fastidious process wink.gif

watching them go fast is one thing... going fast yourself is totally another thing..
for me any reputable bikes are already a good bike.. as long as the bike doesn't come out from giant, carrefour or tesco... or some lousy taiwanese brands..
most importantly enjoy riding.. not enjoy what you ride...

bro , ur last statement .. . doesnt it mean the same thing ! hmm.gif

Safety first! Let's ride in a group. And wear helmet. And everything that is possible to protect. Ok I am noob in this, let's start a discussion now. I think safety is what preventing frm cycling, esp chinese.

huhuhu , hope i'm able to convince the shop where i bought & claim the warranty .. sweat.gif

QUOTE(malleus @ Jan 24 2012, 01:20 PM)
Its kinda the same idea as the 69ers (29 in front, 26 at the back)
Bigger tires in front to make it easier to roll over stuff, smaller one at the back to provide easier acceleration.
*
Oh i tot vice versa .. blush.gif

QUOTE(silvy @ Jan 24 2012, 01:23 PM)

how much can you sell it for... and noting in mind that you are selling it with a problem?
without putting into account how much you can get back for your bike and since you have already own it... either way means doom for your wallet to be frank... the question is do you like the mongoose frame that much that you are willing to put in more money to upgrade or you think it is better to spend a bit more and start from scratch on another bike...
i think it is expensive either ways with the mixture of components on your bike... and 24-speeds.. not that there is anything wrong with 24, but at least a 27s will be a better base to start with...
*
bro , u leaving me with more puzzle .. blush.gif

i wnt a shimano brakeset & 10speed groupset .. but thats already cost another mongoose bike rclxub.gif

next time park your bike where you see it.. dun let it get out of sight.. treat it like the secret service treats the president..
naughty kid come and knock your bike down, thief knick your meter, saddle bag or any clipable stuff, auntie with lost control supermarket trolley t-boning your precious frame, car parking reversing into your beloved ride and crushing it into scrap metal...
you never know... dun let it out of sight...

100% agree

I lost sight ~5-8 min only ... then walla .. gone 100buck
