Been, trolling this thread for a while now. Since my last post I finally got myself a bike. thanks to all the posts from the sifus here, I decided to upgrade my budget, actually did this twice. Was initially looking at an exitway, then moved up to a polygon but finally settled for this....



Not the best specs, nor the lightest. Just a basic aluminium frame, not carbon, slightly less racy than I would have liked but.....the first time i test rode it, climbed up a fairly steep hill, could not feel the weight at all. It just went on and on and on.....Looks like it will serve me well at least for the next year or so before I upgrade to something better haha

bike shop is either go alone.. go with girlfriend, wife or mother or even mother in law... a group of males is acceptable... but never 2...

there is always regrets in our life.. i'd rather live with a regret that i bought a bike i like a little less than the regret that i totally emptied my piggy bank trying to chase my dream bike down...

bike owning is an accumulated experience so far for me... with each bike... you add on criteria and personal requirements and touches that you want your next bike to be and you try to achieve that with whatever budget you have.. this way you evolve with your bike as your fitness goes..

there is nothing certain to say that your next bike will be absolutely the right one.. as until now... i never found my perfect bike that i like it the way i do... even if i do... i can wake up tomorrow and want something else... and that is scary...

that is unless you want to be a mind controlled zombie and let your bike shop point you to the most expensive rig in their shop and totally emptying your pockets and put you in huge debts...

buying, riding, tinkering and experimenting with your bike, experiencing it and learning to know what you want and what you are being sold is the single most important thing to owning a bike.. or else the sweet talking (i call it B.S'ting to be frank) finger pointing, calculator poking salesman is your best friend    not that i am against bike shop operators.. but their primary objective is to make a business and your priorities comes 2nd to that...
yeah.. i seen them bleed the avids again and again and it doesn't solve the mushiness problem.. end up just tell customers to give it a few pumps before riding and live with it...
really.. when did you ride it so hard... tak pernah nampak pun...
