tempting...slurrpp...the FD will auto adjust to avoid chain rubbing the FD while using largest gears and smallest gears... the crank look weird... any reason they design like that? butthead sifu... Added on January 7, 2012, 2:11 pmjust done some googling... seems like this Q-Ring designed for increase efficiency and pedaling power?... butthead go buy one~! QUOTE(Sky.Live @ Jan 7 2012, 02:56 PM) Well Component wise seems quite ok right? the shop owner said about sealed bearing in the wheels compared to the shimano wheelset as in Polygon Helios 500. my Helios 500 is Mavic wheelset... the one u found is shimano wheelset? The price seems quite ok to me at 3.9k. FSA component is ok too? Felt like sealing my decision now, the S size is actually 53cm.. I think quite ok for me @ 178cm height I guess |

QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 8 2012, 10:31 PM) sorry.. had too many tabs opened at once.. and too many currencies to crunch... it is a non-SL TCR 1 which you are rite... dun think u gonna punch ur balls lo... coz u not even dare to ride a carbon... just doubt that there is any reputable brands that has an entry level carbon at RM5k.. not that i have a disbelief for it, but my aluminum rig costed me almost RM5k without wheels and pedals when i switched bikes last year. starting at RM7k i trust there is some lower grade carbon framed 105s available..i'd be punching my nutbags if there is a carbon one available for 5k... you can email giant for their MSRP... that gives you a good gauge... just dun expect a huge cut of discount, maybe 5 %or 10%... i trust they don;t want to post it on facebook due to preventing competitions checking them out and they would use email as more of a 1 to 1 channel instead... pink bike trading , cassie is another source you can ask.. they are in bukit mertajam.. http://pinkbiketrading.com asked them for a giant trinity last time and they gave me the price but unfortunately no stock... unfortunately, due to different demographics, giant is able to post retail prices on the site but malaysia could be complicated as the giant distributor is being transferred around for the past few years i guess... you're most welcome, just offering my opinion which might not be 100% correct and accurate. |

QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 9 2012, 11:39 PM) thought the hulu langat loop was longer than 90K... this is the one that passes a hill first into the semenyih dam right? near the broga area... quite a tough ride this is... mari~ gohtong jaya~ on days that i have nothing to do... i like to take my ride to batu caves -> ulu yam -> batang kali -> gohtong jaya -> genting sempah -> gombak and back home... just over 100K from home and over 4000 feet of elevation... if i were any better a climber, i'd try genting highlands before i go down from gohtong jaya... but furthest i reached on my good day was the temple before i gave up.. the gradients are a bit too tough for me beyond those points and i have to worry about getting home... nowadays i just find excuse to not go far... hardly even go genting sempah anymore century is not hard if you have companions... i've done the longest at 190K which i spend like 2 hours slogging the last 30K of flat road going home... totally depleted of everything on that day... |

QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 10 2012, 12:13 PM) i think this is what i thought it was wow...first time saw someone more sohai-ness then u ...http://www.kotrt.com.my/kotrtpit_8peak.html i try to stay off rides that has the sun directly on top of my head... those rides are torchering like hell.... not to mention the after effects of sun burn... screw you with a titanium bolt... it really depends on whether the guard is on his period for that day.. i had no problems the couple of times i try to pass the guards at the gohtong jaya roundabout on a weekday... just waved at them and they happily waved back at me i heard they don't allow big groups of riders through and even at some points during public holidays and weekends they block riders from heading up at the genting sempah post... that section of road is actually a bit tighter especially on the couple of left hand hairpins which are leg crushingly steep if you take the inside line... the gohtong jaya post near the cable car usually don't give a damn cause they can't stop you from coming up from sungai batang kali.. so, they just let you through. you didn't bribe them with your powerbars is it Added on January 10, 2012, 12:33 pmas an interesting read... not that i like to read blogs...this bugger must have been born without much of a commonsense... rode up genting... http://impossibleisnull.blogspot.com/2008/...ng-genting.html not enough... tried genting and then fraser in the same day.. http://impossibleisnull.blogspot.com/2009/...ks-genting.html decided that his nuts and bike doesn't know the meaning of suffering... went for what i think is never ever x 99 in my life possible unless i am pumped up with steroid and feed on an assortment of pain killer every 10mins of riding, and pre-fed with clenbuterol along with cera injection 6 months prior to trying this... don't even have the eyes to read.. http://impossibleisnull.blogspot.com/2011/...peak-tapah.html proceededed to make the interstate riders look like a big bunch of sissies... http://impossibleisnull.blogspot.com/2011/...-of-tarmac.html http://impossibleisnull.blogspot.com/2011/...state-ride.html on top of all this, quite a lot of his rides are done without the usual touring setup albeit the distance and on a bike most bike geeks will not even touch if they were going to the grocery shops...i remember he had 1 ride that clocked over 1000Ks in a couple of days... but couldn't locate it... and thinking that pedaling is not enough... he wanted to experience genting highlands on foot... http://impossibleisnull.blogspot.com/2007/...-highlands.html which is no big deal since he tried running in excess of 100Ks http://impossibleisnull.blogspot.com/2007/...o-kelawang.html think he shouldn't call his blog impossibleisnull... it should be called commonsenseisnull...more appropriate... doing the race across america would be a sunday evening ride for him i guess Added on January 10, 2012, 3:36 pm sohainess to da max!!!
