if im using a 980m gpu now. getting a gtx1060 will already be better than 980m? or do i need to go to 1070?

I connected to an external monitor but nothing shows (blank screen). Only the laptop screen works even after I use "Extend display" to external monitor.

I suspect it's display drivers issues (running Windows 10), but not sure how to resolve it.

If you look at my screen shot, it's showing 6 monitor/display (which is clearly wrong). The laptop display is number 1, and external monitor is number 6. (Not sure where 2-5 comes from).

This is working fine in Linux though.

hi ive just bought my z5 a few days ago and i noticed this issue.

When my z5 goes into sleep mode it doesnt wake up no matter what key i press even the touchpad.

I have to force shut down it to bring it back to life.

Anyone has any idea?

as far as i know z5 is dual fan cooling system. but when i try switching to turbo fan boost using Fn+1 I noticed only left sided fans is working hard. there is no wind blowing from the right channel. is this normal?

now new problem arise, on Z5, when USB thumbdrive plug in to second left side of usb port, the first (left) usb port with usb dongle for mouse will not work. any ideas what happen?

Hello. Is it normal for my z5 to display gpu temp of 77 to 81. And cpu tem 77 to 85..using afterburner to monitor it.

My z5 1060 temp depend on room temp. Cool room with aircond its stay 72 to 75. But no aircon room the temp will be 77 to 81. Usually i dont mind the temp. But seeing the upper keyboard feel really hot esp near the power button. Risau a bit

I am looking for a new laptop for graphic/3d designer, i think i need a good graphic card, ram, cpu to run those designer software and load large drawing. Another important thing is screen color display must me real and accurate.

Many people recommended Mac Book, but I am more comfortable with Windows laptop.

End up i found all good graphic card laptop tag as gaming laptop, that is why I am here.

First question, is gaming laptop good to work as designer laptop?
Second, I am comparing Z5(because of cheaper) and S5X(because of lighter), targeting to equip gtx1060, any comment for using these 2 model as graphic design?

Dear all, I currently having 1 M.2 sata ssd and 1 2.5" SSHD as storage. I have a 256gb samsung ssd 2.5" Sata. Is it possible if I raid 0 M.2 PCIE ssd + 2.5" SSD? Which combination is the best?
