Hi ILLEGEAR experts,

Currently my z7 is on Win10 but I wanted to downgrade to Win7. I prompted a USB bootable with Win7 but when boot up just before the Win installation screen it went to blue screen with error message BIOS is not ACPI compliant.

I've read a few about ACPI = Power Management in BIOS setting but when I go to BIOS, there is no Power Management tab at all.

Anyone can help me?

I have a Z5 V3 i7-6700HQ GTX960M with a 500GB Seagate SSHD.

I am looking to expand the storage space and still want to keep the SSHD in use.

Can I know how many more SATA / mSATA / m.2 slots available that I can use for the SSD, please?

So only total of 2 slots for storage (1 x m.2 + 1 x 2.5" SATA).
I thought I remembered that it can have 3 storage installed (2 x 2.5" 7mm SATA + 1 x m.2)   
now that the Z5 has been taken down from the website, I can't take a look on the customizable page like this anymore

I bought the Samsung 970 Evo M.2 NVMe 500GB SSD and install into the M.2 slot but after i boot up my laptop the SSD is not detected. is there any setting that i need to configure in order for it to be detected? my bios version is QQ111 dated 2016 Jan 5th.

aiyo    my Z5 is i7-6700HQ. Can it support Samsung 860 Evo M.2 then?
Hopefully the shop allow me to replace the SSD and reimburse my money.

My Z5 cannot on if not plugged.
If plugged then can on.
The battery showing 90% in windows.

Noticed the touchpad light is always on now even though before that I switched it off.
Last time it can remember the light is off if I off it before shutdown.

Anything I can do to fix this ?

RMA my laptop battery not that long ago, and it now got the same problem again. not able to full charge. 1year spoilt 2 battery.

why the battery so fast kong? now my laptop somemore out of warranty... and soon it will become 'desktop' 

I purchased my Z5 haswell model with 970m. Now the battery is really sucks can't even last for 30 minutes.

Ran a battery report in Win10, show as below.
DESIGN CAPACITY 52,000 mWh
FULL CHARGE CAPACITY 18,940 mWh

How much for a new battery?
Also I don't want to leave the laptop there, so possible to change it myself (order online and send via post) or go to office to change and get it back on the spot?

Would it be advisable to buy one and keep? I have one as well but battery still ok. Am afraid that it's no longer supported.

Is there a battery replacement still available for the older Z5 with 860M? Also is it possible to check and repair the keyboard as recently some keys are not as responsive anymore?

I will try buying a new power extension and maybe get an anti-static floor mat to see what happens.

I have a curious question though. Is it possible that some components within the laptop are damaged and is causing these electric discharges?

Hi. I bought an Illegear Z5 2 years ago and now facing problems because my computer cannot start. I can enter the BIOS but the Windows screen does not appear (stuck on the illegear screen). Specifically it comes with Crucial MX300 M.2 275 GB mSATA (plus the other solid state hybrid HDD).

Running a bootable Windows USB to try to diagnose what happened, few things was deduced :

1. When trying to check the mSATA drive via CMD prompt, it feedback I/O error (cannot read). The other drive no issues. Can see directory and files.
2. When trying to reinstall Windows, it shows can't read. The partition is revealed however just that can't access. I have not tried formatting.

Hence, few questions :

1. What could be the possible problems for the mSATA drive and what further things I should look out for as I plan to open up the laptop.
2. What mSATA model I should purchase as it has a second slot and I plan to load another mSATA drive while trying to recover the old one. I notice few form factors so am confused a bit (newbie to mSATA here).
3. Does Illegear sell replacement mSATA drives and how much?

Good to hear still got warranty. I would like to recover data from the drive though.

Btw, do you have stocks for the same drive or similar as well? Can i Straightaway buy from you, and fit it in while you remove the old one to recover?

Understand that, but the warranty means it will be fixed or do i get a new drive replacement?

Hi just wondering. I have a Z5 Skylake, what would be the maximum capacity HDD supported? already have a SSD running but my hdd is filling up too fast (currently 1tb).

Anybody experiencing sudden shut down when on battery? Any way to troubleshoot it? Using z5 gtx 970m
