Ic ok. Is the gap due to not proper fitting or the double side tape strength or thickness?

Yeah... recommend to go with the 3M brand and not too thick padded ones.

Thanks for the info.

So what u mean is as long as it doesn't compromised the cooling effect (meaning cooling still normal), installing cabin air filter is a huge plus to protect our air con?
*
Yes, it won't compromise any cooling effect. Good filters have very fine meshing, which at most affects air flow for 10-15%. Barely noticeable.

The internal cooling coil is an important part of the AC system. With a cabin filter, any dust or debris that is flying around the car will get filtered before reaching the coil. Especially if you never vacuum your car, since the system draws air from under the passenger side leg space. If too much debris or dust gets stuck in the coil, the overall effectiveness of it would be decreased.
It's a cheap part, considering what it does. Great investment.

I get a lot of these information from an India car forum, can't remember the name. They share a lot of similar models with our market, so a lot we can relate to. A lot of knowledge base there, learnt a lot from that forum.
Try googling it, I'll post back if I can remember the name. It's a very helpful forum.
