Final conclusion must be made based on Antutu because real life usage is very subjective. Hopefully I won't see anyone boasting about real life usage because that is your usage and not mine.

MTK X20 not famous but kick SD625 down the drain. Famous or not is not the point here. We are not fanboy. But technology enthusiast.
*
And antutu isnt subjective? If you call yourself an tech enthusiast, that's funny. The link i shared is one video. Please research more. I never said SD625 is faster than mtk X20. I just said mtk has performance issues generally and isnt power efficient as Snapdragon.

Once again antutu can never be used to make final conclusion on real use smartphone performance.

Of course isn't subjective. You run and I run also get same Antutu score if we holding same handphone.
You said MTK not famous. Dont deviate. Also X20 have improve tremendously over old MTK SoC. If you are enthusiast, you know instead of talking nonsense here. Don't waste time watching those real life video because its subjective to the reviewer. Should make final decision on Antutu alone.
*
I am not deviating lol. MTK is still under snapdragon based on my deep research and practical. Sometimes it isn't worth arguing so you better follow antutu if you base ur conclusions on it. Keep it up (y).

hohohoo...just notice the obsessed with AnTuTu benchmark guy is back in town who called himself a Tech Enthusiast and who also ,on more than a few occasion on this thread alone,  imposing his idiotic and silly will  ,that  AnTuTu reading alone ,is the Be-all and End-all  decision to buy a phone.

look Mr.Tech Enthusiast ,from your post counts ,i tend to believe you are a person with a reasonable amount of knowledge of SoC, you can have your beliefs and there is nothing wrong with that but to impose your will again and again on something that is subjective as benchmarking readings and make a silly judgement call ....hohohoo

BTW ,in case you need reminders, benchmarking readings ,however accurate or subjective ,are merely instruments and tools to be use as buying guide and not the final and only decisions..many users nowadays already knows ,difference in speed if (any) are only in milliseconds and it does not affect their everyday use .for those who hold the belief that higher benchmarking reading can improve and enhance their user experience, will accordingly to their budget ,go ahead and make their choice.there is no right or wrong .

More importantly ,there are many more features of equal significance that a potential buyer have to consider before they decides

Unless  the SoC are from years ago which are now obsolete which have big differences than yes if they wish ,they can look up to benchmarking reading comparison if they dont know what else to look to.the SD625 does have its shortcomings, but for many and for what it can do ,it is already  more than sufficient

from what i know ,A Go-Go use to be a popular dance step a while ago but is now obsolete .you are saying, all smartphone user and buyer should dance to your new tune called AnTuTu. and in your silly opinion and will ,no other tune which in this case other "features" are legitimate other than your beloved AnTuTu.

Come on ,you are better than this

Me if not happy, I'll quickly sell the unit. Just like what happened to hot-selling models like RN3P.

But this P2 is giving me  experiences beyond my expectations. So, it's a keeper...

Feeling is mutual bro. P2 fits my need 110%. Price is decent or else i would have asked for stereo speakers, dac, etc. For the price, im more than satisfied. People who check my phone dont even think of it as budget phone compared to my rdn3pro because of cheap build quality.

In comparison to Mi5s and Note 5, P2 camera smear too much even at bright scene. Totally unusable for serious mobile photography. Mi5s almost same price as P2 but sport a SD821 which 2.5 times faster than SD625 and run cool too because using 14nm process node. P2 is totally not acceptable for photo taking.

The youtube video above is bias because he own P2 and he has no chance to buy Mi5s like us.
*
Isn't mi5s around 1700ish? Mi5 without the 's' is around 1100ish.

Been searching too... Without rooting it's kind of very slim chance...

Maybe nougat will have build in feature in os to make it black?

Keep on looking into it, im sure some geek would come up with non root solution.

after less than a month of P2 ownership i decided to sell the phone at a loss of rm220 hehehe

i had a P2 which i use about a month. very delighted period i would say but for being ever not enough so sold it lor hehe

yes it is awesomely efficient and beast of a phone ito batt. it is very smooth than i thought for a 625 but it not have the 820 prowess. camera no complain for me as im the most casual of shooter imaginable. i sold it at rm220 as i want to sell it real fast but i tot the rm100 difference not really different much to me

Earlier, i had the oneplus 3 for 3-4mths too, but battery 3000mah is not as good as i expected. very slick phone, nice quality n look. sold it at rm188 lost
reason i sell it cuz i have another 4400mah phone coming then, which is now a primary phone.

I sold the 5.5" Lenovo P2 to get also another lenovo phone hahaha

a sub rm840 (incl SP =casing after repeat purchaser discount) 5" Lenovo Zuk Z2 as a second phone. Im expecting quite a lot from this 5" phone with 3500mah QC 3.0 should be quite lasting...i replace it with the P2 because i figured i have primary phone also so no need secondary lasting phone so i traded battery to performance ,better camera n much lighter and smaller body n couldnt resist the popular Zuk z2 online review too especially the physical homebutton is basically a P2 homebutton on crack
*
Guess it all depends on user to user experience as for me zuk z2 would be a downgrade, not talking about performance but a lot of other things.

Means SOT is 8 hours.
For Redmi Note 3 is around 6~7 hours because of 4050mAH battery.
Bear in mind that Redmi Note 3 is faster than SD625 and thus in the same hour, Redmi Note 3 accomplish more stuff compared to P2.

Which means SD625 probably good for Standby but not really good for SOT.
*
Erm rdn3 pro if on stand by for 2 and half days with 4 hours SOT, already needs a recharge. P2 with 625 on the other hand still got half of its battery left.

Can we for once GET OVER with 650 vs 625 SOC? How many times with proof in earlier msges Azhar and many others have posted their personal experience and various videos on pros n cons of 625 vs 650. For mid to heavy users who game lightly, thr isn't a huge difference between 625 and 650. Off course 650 is faster! in some cases you can feel it too but yeah SOME cases only. For me I never felt the difference, im talking about REAL usage here (Ahem some people Ahem like antutu a lot)

Both have thr pros n cons. Imo rdn3 is best for people who game hardcore and doesn't mind charging ever other day or one day after.

I have used BOTH phones and I use them BOTH heavily MINUS the gaming and p2 for me is more efficient and cooler. PERIOD.

Thus why p2 more efficient vs other phone that have similar specs..

I can confirm that as I 've been consistently achieving the same playing HIT (get it from playstore, very nice and addictive game!) from fully charge down to 10% or less, 50% brightness and i usually get around 9 hours. So average drain is indeed 10% per hour, and could be even less if u dim the display slightly. But the screen is so nice and battery is beast so I dont bother doing that biggrin.gif
*
Same. Average i get 10 hours sot. Sometimes 12 hours sot.

Actually amoled already gone cheaper than standard lcd since last year.

https://www.google.com/amp/www.androidautho...-android-xiaomi

Cheaper to manufacture but demand is so high and usually companies are short of supply that's why it eventually becomes more expensive. Because since AMOLED is better than LCD, at least that is what majority prefers, it becomes hard to meet the demands. Hence AMOLED screen phones are still expensive.

This is where Apple is so smart not to adopt AMOLED in their previous product lineups. Use old dated IPS is cheap and easy to outsource.

Now that AMOLED is "reasonably" priced, I don't see why phone manufacturers reluctant to adopt AMOLED in their mid-tiers segments. Perhaps the demand is still higher than supply...

Hence, replacing a broken AMOLED screen will still be expensive compared to IPS LCD, which, the main reason most of us opt for tempered glass or some sort of protector(s).
