i agree antutu is not conclusive to gauge an overall performance of a smartphone flagship or not, just like a car hp, horsepower alone doesnt tell the whole picture there r other factors as well, weight, engine, aerodynamics, etc. but if putting a 300 hp car (SND 835) with a 150hp (SND 620), obviously hp alone is conclusive unless the 300hp car manufacturer has completely no idea what it is doing. the high SND 835, cant be possible the ram n other UI r not streamline to send high antutu reading for its 835 SND. its a no brainer.
imho antutu just give a surface yet rather relevant performance of a smartphone though not overall cuz there r other elements like UI, OS, Ram but it is rather suggestive in my opinion because the UI, os ram efficiency do (minimally) contribute to the antutu reading (thus, narrow) result thats why i believe antutu is a reflective of the smartphone performance but not conclusive because it doesnt translate to UX (user experience) suggestive in the sense that, pound for pound, it is sufficient for a modest match (relatively reliable result)....say, same spec hp, then antutu is a relevant derivative of the sum of the respective phone because the antutu reading is part outcome of the ui, os, ram etc.
so to me, i would read antutu reading as a relevant but not conclusive factor albeit proc segment alone is more
relevant/distinctive to antutu i.e Antutu reading surely higher for (1) SND 820 to 625 but doesnt mean 625 UX is worse off than a 820 phone such as leeco that one as long as the 625 all factors r in harmony like iphone their os just helped their low ram significantly, it may not have high antutu if ever applicable. but antutu (2) 625 4G will higher than 625 2G Ram cuz the ram helped. n usually a 835 will higher antutu than 620 hp at same ram or even 620 higher ram than the 835 cuz 835 is just too much to pull the gap for 620 so it is EXPECTED (suggestive, not conclusive) the 835 to be better overall performance than 620 just like a (3) 300hp car> 250hp but putting the 300hp car to a 100hp car will be conclusive like SND 835 vs 620 hp...so antutu will be suggestive or conclusive depending on the which phone u r putting against refer back to eg. 1 ,2,3...
Fully agreed plus adding on the fact that manufacturers mess with antutu to get higher speed rests. In your explanation you can't expect the higher hp car with full rpm to hold on n keep up that speed ALL the time. The engine will seize aka cpu will get so hot that it will eventually throttle. Smartphones have better cooling now but it is no where close to what antutu does to phones to get that higher score. Problem is some manufacturers are doing n some aren't. But dont get me wrong, im not saying sd625 is the best. But looking at all aspects it puts some high end soc's on shame for now. imho antutu just give a surface yet rather relevant performance of a smartphone though not overall cuz there r other elements like UI, OS, Ram but it is rather suggestive in my opinion because the UI, os ram efficiency do (minimally) contribute to the antutu reading (thus, narrow) result thats why i believe antutu is a reflective of the smartphone performance but not conclusive because it doesnt translate to UX (user experience) suggestive in the sense that, pound for pound, it is sufficient for a modest match (relatively reliable result)....say, same spec hp, then antutu is a relevant derivative of the sum of the respective phone because the antutu reading is part outcome of the ui, os, ram etc.

I'd say again antutu is for kids, infact people who base their conclusions on antutu, i find them cute.
