Cheaper to manufacture but demand is so high and usually companies are short of supply that's why it eventually becomes more expensive. Because since AMOLED is better than LCD, at least that is what majority prefers, it becomes hard to meet the demands. Hence AMOLED screen phones are still expensive.

This is where Apple is so smart not to adopt AMOLED in their previous product lineups. Use old dated IPS is cheap and easy to outsource.

Now that AMOLED is "reasonably" priced, I don't see why phone manufacturers reluctant to adopt AMOLED in their mid-tiers segments. Perhaps the demand is still higher than supply...

Hence, replacing a broken AMOLED screen will still be expensive compared to IPS LCD, which, the main reason most of us opt for tempered glass or some sort of protector(s).

Below is the cost for Sammy devices:

Source : Sammy Malaysia FAQs

We can safely assume the P2 screen cost is NOT MORE than the A7 (2016)...

Same issue like P2... tiny audio recorded by Redmi Note 4 Pro... only the first 0.5 second is loud... after that, the NOISE CANCELLING MIC aggressively suppresses all audio....

Nope. Nothing to do with Snap625 or other hardware. We have evaluated others as well below:

RN4P also suffers the same Noise Cancelling Mic plague...LOL... Whereas, H6X is doing great for both vix and audio quality...

Forward to timeline 2:57...

Redmi 4 Prime is affected too:

More Noise Cancelling Noise nasty effect....forward to timeline 3:10 below:

However, Moto Z Play (which is also Snap 625), does NOT have Noise Cancelling Mic syndrome...

I had been followed this thread quite some times, and discovered this noise cancelling mic issue quite troublesome. Would it affects whatsapp/wechat voice recording message?

Yes up to certain ambient noise environment. If you VoIP (via WhatsApp, WeChat, Skype, etc) in a noisy environment, your voice might be tiny on the other's party. But if in quiet environment (say, in toilet or living room with TV is on), your voice will be normal.
