Kewl as ice....forever....Do we really need over-killed Snap835 / 821 / 820 / 660 / 652 (28nm non-FinFET = overheated) / 650 (28nm non-FinFET = overheated) ....?

Gaming is not the ultimate overheating test. Try GPS/navigation for 15 minutes, you'll be surprised the temperature reads 50 degrees. I quickly sold RN3P due to this...

My Sammy Note5 also overheated @ 51 degrees after 30 minutes navigation...But need the S-Pen to perform my business documentation... Hopefully, the Note 8 with Snap835 clears the 45 degrees temperature limit...

Whereas P2 stays at 45 degrees max even after 1 hour navigation...The same goes to Zenfone Max (Snap410).

Nope, no heat issue using GPS/Waze while in Kuala Lumpur/Sarawak. Usage was over 1-2 hours non-stop. I am using stock/original rom.

Agreed. P2 is much cooler in games and gps compared to rdn3 pro. The hottest during gps i remember was nexus 5 for me out of all the phones i have owned.

TS, depend on conditions as well, if use gps within the aircon car and no ditect sun light (either covered by tinted@sticker) the temp is lower vs those yg kena directly.

My p2 slight hotter yesterday due to i put it on my fren car dashboard phone holder and his car no tint vs inside my own car.

Mi max less heat vs rn3pro maybe due to optimize os and bigger size (heat can disperse)

This P2 is the most versatile mobile I have used because of the capability of it's memory storage, reading my Samsung mirco sd card EVO exfat format like a charm and my external portable hard drive 1T. My Mi Max can't read both of this storage devices, what a letdown

U use the stock micro-USB adapter to connect to 1TB HDD....? I wonder whether P2 can become temporary NAS for that 1TB using the built-in wifi hotspot...

No I find the short extension micro usb to usb adapter transfer my files faster. I have my portable 1T hard drive plugged into my router usb and I use Localcast app to stream movies, songs and pictures to my chromecast tv. I also transfer my big files wirelessly from my P2 to the 1T hard drive in my router. My router is the N type slow transfer but it is ok as I let it do in the background while I do other things

Got that...

I was thinking that when we are out and about, setting up P2 as NAS server (with built-in hotspot) so that other devices can connect to the 1TB HDD.

Gotta dig on this "hidden" feature...
