i was previously encouraged by eric.tangps to set up a garage sales thread since i was planning to let go of my comics, haven't been able to do so until last week (i don't always return home). you may find a couple of comics of mine which featured weapon x (or wolverine in the standard timeline).

if you want to know more about x-titles, i'd recommend www.uncannyxmen.net, it has a huge library of issue summaries, and you'll be able to locate almost every x-comic books available. you'll find out more on this version of weapon x there.

anyway, it's a pity that i did not purchase the AoA: weapon x titles back then, wasn't a fan of wolverine. i think it's a good read. what to do, i was and still not a fan of wolverine...

a couple of years back marvel came up with the AoA 10th anniversary, which is quite a nice read as well, although not as great as the original AoA series.

yep, that's the AoA version of cyclops alright, has always been my favourite x-character...

too bad marvel doesn't want to run a story on the battle between weapon x and cykes which resulted in one losing an eye, the other losing the hand. i was pretty dismayed when cykes got killed off in x-men omega, but apparently he's still alive, or at least that's what hinted during the AoA 10th anniversary a few years back.

Went to the mind shop yesterday at Centerpoint. I didn't realised that 1 comic has risen to the price of RM15. So expensive...>_<

Last time when it was RM7 also thought it was expensive but now RM15.

Where is your location? Surely there is a friendly comic shop.

You can ask for pre-order with your local comic shop.  Usually you order via browsing thru the Previews which is 2 months advance.

So that you will not miss any issue as compare to comic hunting when it is released.

How much is the member fees now? I use to order from the mind shop when i was still studying back in 88. The shop was in KL plaza then before they move to starhill. Way back before Bintang walk. ha ha.. Btw, is Iris still working there? Please tell her K196 send his regards.. Thanks..
Wish you a good time collecting comics. I'm sure you'll enjoy reading them. Sometimes there are hidden messages in the artwork of certain artists. It's quite fun.

RM10 membership fee? that has doubled over the last couple of years.

two years back the membership was RM5, and i tell you it's definitely worth it considering the discounts you receive.

no idea about the chinese guy, but the old lady has been there since forever, not sure if she's the owner though.

anyway, i was a member already as well back in the days when mind shop was in kl plaza, which then moved to 1 utama before finally settling down in centrepoint. back then, mindshop has about 4 branches, if i've not mistaken, and due to the inpopularity of comic collection in malaysia, they've closed down one by one, such a sad case.
