QUOTE(eric.tangps @ Jun 30 2008, 10:31 PM) This is a pretty sad news for fans of Michael Turner (37), artist Michael Turner has died after a long battle with cancer. i heard about it at the comic shop, its kinda sad tho... i dont really know him, but after i heard the news, a friend of mine showed me some of his art. a big lost in comic world... Turner is an artist best known for his work on books like “Witchblade,” where he got his start in comics, moving on to titles such as “Black Panther,” “Superman/Batman” and his very own creator owned series “Fathom” and “Soulfire” through his publishing company Aspen Comics. A prolific artist, he’s done work for both DC Comics and Marvel Comics, and has provided covers to some of the best-known comics published in the last ten years, including Brad Meltzer’s “Identity Crisis.” Source : http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=16988 |

QUOTE(Moebius @ Jul 22 2008, 10:35 AM) I like Alex Ross style of art. His technique of blending water colour brushing & air brushing makes his stuff different from others. Bought the Kingdom Come Slip Case when it 1st came out. It's limited, signed & numbererd. Can't remember how limited is the Slip Case Edition. I have both the original issues of Kingdom Come & Marvels. alex ross rock man! i dont have lots of his art, only have kingdom come, and some batman issues, cover by him. all very nice. Here's another one. anyway, im looking for batman : hush, but dunno which to buy, the 12 issues or the absolute version.., the 12 issues is rare and hard to find plus very pricey, but the absolute version looks damn cool and a lil bit cheaper..., any suggestion? |

QUOTE(Moebius @ Jul 23 2008, 10:39 AM) ghoster, im a regular customer there, already asked em but they sold their last complete copy of hush about a year ago... Batman : Hush... Hmm... Why don't u try Earth638, Atria Shopping, Damansara. The owner is an avid comic collector and is the writer to World of Wonder comics column (The Star, Friday, bi-monthly). He should hav them and if he doesn't, he may know someone who has them. u're regular customer there too? This post has been edited by ghoster: Jul 23 2008, 10:46 AM |

QUOTE(Moebius @ Jul 23 2008, 11:20 AM) Yes, they r cousins. Me & Kaleon used to buy X-Men comics from each other. I think both of us have a very good run on Uncanny X-Men comics. I have (all in near mint-very fine if not mint) from #100 - current. I think Kaleon has more becos he buys from Mile High every now & then..... or rather then. he do talk a LOT about x-men, suggest me a lot of x-men series. i only have x-men age of apocalypse series, hihi.its hard to find a comic shop like earth638, especially in Malaysia. hope they'll expend their shop soon This post has been edited by ghoster: Jul 25 2008, 12:04 PM |
