Was thinking today about how long I haave come from starting out with BOSE and thinking that it was THE-BEST-EVAHHHHHHHHHHH!! And to where I am now.
Speaking exclusively of my desktop set up. Year 2012. Simple set up. Tangent EXEO CDP -> Tangent EXEO Speaker Amplifier -> HiFiMan HE6. (driven from speaker taps) No speakers, just a very small simple set up.   *notice how the picture quality was crap too. LOL. Beginning of 2013. Added speakers into the mix; Wharfadale Diamond 10.1, and an LCD2 and an Alienware M17X R4. Spot the Pluto too! Hehe.  *Notice the improvement in picture quality too. Haha. Year 2014, thats when things got a little messy. Added to the collection was the Sennheiser Momentum, Audio Technica W1000, LCDX, T1, Atoll DAC 100, Speakers upgraded to Focal Profile 908 Diamond Black. Lots of cables and stuff... VIOLA!! Newly added. Was considering between this and bose c20, but due to price factor and I am more time on headphone rather than speaker, so go for this cheaper option. Don't like sub due to space constraint, but, with these who need a sub?  |

 At first I don't like the HiVi Swans A30 speakers, but it grew into me. The Lovely Cube Premium also allows volume control as preamp for the speakers, that beats their button volume control so much. Annoying how you press buttons to lower/increase volume, not to mention there's lag when you press the volume buttons. But the imaging and mids, dios mío, so beautiful for its price point. HD650 arrived 2 weeks ago, Lovely Cube Premium amp arrived yesterday, waiting for my Aune T1 to come back from repairs. Not in picture: Rock Jaw Kommand IEM (its actually too small to see in the bottom right corner right there), JVC HA-S500 headphones, and Goldring DR150 headphones. |
