I see, I bought locally, but sadly he only got the 1.2meter version, forced to buy that
but the performance is good.
Let me know if you're letting go the 1.2M Cable. It's USB to Mini right? Lowyat.NET Forumers' Audiophlie Database, Pictures only please, PLEASE

QUOTE(JamesKW @ Apr 13 2015, 12:29 AM) I guess you didn't get it quite right then. I listened to a burn-in zx2 yesterday and it impressed me with its sound stage and layering (better than the AK240). I see zx2 sound as slightly coloured, darker thus spacious. On certain songs, I prefer the zx2 over my AK240. However, AK240 sound is brighter, neutral and more detailed compared to zx2. It all comes down to preference but I think I will be satisfied to have zx2 as my DAP. Of course I wish I had both of them Since when there is such thing as right in sound? Some like it pre burn and after burn, some don't like it pre burn and like it after. I myself also think it's utter bullshit as burn on only tightens some of the loose ends and don't make as much of a difference, sound signature wise. Sonically maybe about 10%. Stop making minor differences sound so massive. You want major, then move on to HiFi. |

QUOTE(JamesKW @ Apr 13 2015, 05:54 PM) 'If you dont like it before burn in, youre not going to like it after its burnt in. Burn in does not transform your player into something else. It'll sound better to them after burn in if before burn in they did enjoy in the first place.' Here's the thing. That was my whole point. It may not be true for you, but it may be true for him. And I will repeat, there is no such thing as right in sound. You may feel there is a difference, but he may not. So you saying his statement being not true, even though "apparently" , it feels pretentious (not saying you are) to assume you're correct and he didn't get it right. That's why I also stated "I MYSELF THINK it's bullshit". Did I say you got it wrong or "didn't get it quite right"? It's my opinion. I didn't bash yours. Him saying there is not much change is his. He is right to himself. If you feel there is a change, you are right to yourself. That's it. To each his own. If you feel there is a 20 to 30 or even 40% change, it's your ears, then it's true for you. But not for me. So that's That. I am calm lol. Just stating my 2 cents.Calm down. First of all, I was trying to say that maybe Joshua didn't get quite right about the STATEMENT he made previously. Here's what he said: 'If you dont like it before burn in, youre not going to like it after its burnt in. Burn in does not transform your player into something else. It'll sound better to them after burn in if before burn in they did enjoy in the first place.' That statement is apparently not true as I find it the opposite in the case of zx2. See, I listened to the without burn-in zx2 and to me, it wasn't acceptable. But then I really like how the burn-in zx2 sounds. I may exaggerated, but at least that's what my ears tell me. I know few guys who own the zx2, and they commented the same things. The sound of the zx2 was bad at first and it becomes great after burn in. I am not sure whether you have listened to the fresh zx2 and after burn-in. If you had, maybe I was being utterly sensitive or exaggerating. But if you hadn't, then don't call someone's opinion as bullshit. When your whole set up is above a certain price, 10% improvement matters. But nonetheless, I sincerely think the improvement over the fresh zx2 is more than 10%. PeaceĀ As for why, I deal with speakers. I know it's unfair, but once you start hearing proper soundstaging and details, IEMs and Headphones feel tiny in comparison. So for me, slight changes in signature when you go from a ZX2 to let's say an AK240, or even a pre burn in ZX2 to a burned in ZX2, is small. That is right for me. But only me. If you disagree, then it's fine. But don't ever tell another person that their views "didn't quite get it right" But fair is fair. Wrong on my part to ask you to stop enlarging differences. Like I said, your ears are yours. Cheers. This post has been edited by Sentinel92: Apr 13 2015, 07:07 PM |
