Here's mine. I'm using battery life app. owning this iPhone 7 since September before it launched here. Sg unit. Been using iPad charger to charge it since day one and connect to car USB port for Apple CarPlay everyday when driving. Battery still super healthy 100% capacity 😈

i bought the 29w usb c  charger togehter with the usbc to lightning cable to charge, takes me about 1 hour from 20 - 80% for my 7+

I believe most of the smartphone charges like that these days, very quickly at first then when reaching full it'll slow down considerably, just that s6 has fast charging so it's not as obvious

it takes about 35 mins from 1% to 50%. then another 25mins to 80%. after that from 80% to 100% it takes awhile. overall it took about 1 hrs and 40mins average to fully charge an iPhone 7 from 1% battery to full with an iPad charger.

See the attachment below. I actually time it. But forgot to stop the timer when it reach 100% as I was leaving my phone to charge and doing other work. Will do it on next charge.

I did read from some other forum that a few people have this issue, and was due to smudges on the button area. Cleaning it up did the trick. Some did a reset which is the power and volume up button also cleared his issue. And another you could try would be clearing the ram, i.e. press power until the off slider appears, let go of the power button, then press the home button and only let go when the home screen reappears.

If all the above fails, most probably due to a offending app. Did you install any apps recently? Sometimes, apps can also make the system gila2 one. Delete it and reinstall again.

Lastly a full restore. If its still persists, a trip to a sc is advised.

Good    If the clearing ram works, then you must have alot of apps open in background and also that the background App refresh probably have too many apps to refresh. See the list and disable those that not needed such as weather app or youtube app etc etc.

By double tapping and closing the apps do release the ram, but it does take some time to release it, not instantly. i am assuming that its due to the syncing of the data cache and temporary data which will be sync together with iCloud. Its not like it takes minutes, probably several seconds, but those seconds does matter. Anyway, just have to work around it, I guess but still the ip7 is the best experience for me as it is soo bloody fast.

I have the same issue too, always have to wipe my thumb and also the sensor but it still doesn't work. Ended up just typing the passcode instead.

Whenever there is new firmware update released, I will update it straight away.

Just wanna share a bit, bought this lighting + 3.5mm headphone jack adapter from Benks. Works great, can charge and use headphones at the same time. It's very small too, but smaller than I expected. Works great, very happy with my purchase.

I observed this, not sure same conditions and scenario like you. When "over-charging", leaving it with the bundled apple adaptor and connected after it reaches 100%, the phone gets warm/hot, the fingerprint doesn't register.
Since then, I got an Anker USB charger which can do fast charging like iPad charger, 2.4A?? charge within 1 - 2 hour (never really check how long it charges, but should be below 2 hours and above 1 hour mark) and unplug before it gets warm.

Avoided charging overnight and no longer using the Apple bundled charging adaptor.

Lousy for me. Finger need 100% dry for the fingerprint scan to work properly. While cheaper phone can perform better. For RM4k phone of course i expect the scanner can tolerate if finger a bit wet. Sometime when i want to use phone quickly out of pocket need to wipe finger 1st 

It's around RM60. Quite worth the money to be honest, solve the headphone jack problem at least. And it's small and compact, easy to carry around   

Haven't really test charging time. So far I tested audio still the same.
I don't normally charge and listen to music at the same time. So this adapter is mainly for me to connect my earphones. I don't like the stock adapter that comes with the phone, prefer something like this hehe.

Yup. These smartphone will have circuitry that stops the charging when it has reached full capacity. Leaving it overnight wouldn't harm the battery. What would shorten the life of the battery ie the Lithium Polymer is constant <20% charging to full. If it was Li-Ions type, then its better to charge it <20% capacity. Li-Po, prefers around 50% capacity then charge to minimise excess heat.
