does anyone encounter crackling sound when playing music using internal stereo speaker? hope it is issue with ios and not hardware..

Is probably harrdware...no such issues on my ip7+ even at maximum volume

Try restarting your phone and see. IOS 10 requires a few restarts after initial initialisation to let it settle down.

Ios10 still have many weird minor bugs.
Mine is the lock screen sound doesn't play anymore, unless I reboot the phone. Toggling mute doesn't help as all other sound still working fine.
