1)TM buy P1 and rebrand to webe.
2)Check on your network phone. For 3G they will use Celcom 3G network.
3)Sorry i don't know about this sweat.gif
4)Webe allow to tethering but need to purchase pass for RM6.36/2 hour sad.gif
5)No need certified phone. Now webe have #webenow promotion which allow all to subscribe at price RM79.

**Please be informed that webe is still new in the market. If you expect better service maybe you need to waiting them to expand the 4G coverage first** smile.gif

If I use a Lightning Digital AV Adapter for Iphones (Lightning to HDMI) and plug it in to my TV for AirPlay Mirroring. Will I be charged for the hotspot? Has anyone tried this yet?

tl;dr: does webe charge hotspot for airplay mirroring?

Oh well...

webe = Unlimited Data "without" Quota.... LOL...

For me "Quota" is defined as data usage in Weekdays and Weekends are separate. Like other telco, they grant certain quota from Monday to Friday. Even worst, some telco restrict the speed to HSDPA instead of LTE from Monday to Friday (still exists... IDK....).

Example, Celcom First Gold plan. It offers 10GB "quota" for weekday. While on Saturday and Sunday, it is limited 2.5GB only. If you exceeded 2.5GB on Sunday afternoon, it will continue to deduct the "Quota" from weekdays...

Not to mention, certain telco have "quota" for certain apps like iFlix, YouTube, Social Apps, etc. Whereas, webe only restrict Google-based apps to 2Mbps and torrent to 64kbps... ...other apps are max download and upload speed....

Example, U-Mobile U28 postpaid plan. The monthly "everything" quota is 3GB but streaming apps like iFlix/NetFlix/YouTube "quota" (aka Video-Onz) is only 3GB per month.... if we iFlix/NetFlix/YouTube more than 3GB by middle of the month, it will start to deduct from "everything" monthly quota....

webe is totally unlimited data and no quota at all. Can download/upload 24/7 anytime and anywhere (so long as there is Celcom coverage or 850MHz LTE coverage...). And one more thing... CONTRACT-LESS plan.... can port-out/terminate anytime you wish....

Are you sure webe restrict Google-based apps to 2Mbps?

It's noticeable if you play close attention to it. You could get better download speed when you are updating apps via play store which proves this claim.

It is not written black-and-white in their TnC, but all users can detect and monitor the speed. Try to download large apps from Google PlayStore from webe and from other telco(s). You will see the time to complete the whole download (say 0.95GB apps like Alphalt Xtreme...) is totally different between webe and other telco(s).

The same goes to YouTube. webe stated in TnC that YouTube (and other streaming media/apps...?) will be at 480P resolution. If we switch to 720P or 1080P, there will be buffering, say, every 10 seconds....

1440P YouTube without VPN is limited to ~250KiB/s...

1440P YouTube WITH "dedicated" VPN is above 400KiB/s...

there's quota actually laugh.gif
though it's virtually impossible to hit the limit given the inconsistent speed. bangwall.gif
9,999,999 GB
we'll need to hit close to 3GB download a second all day long for 30 days to reach that quota. rclxs0.gif
