c2lia,
It is better you buy d-link usb dongle tmgo.
Your laptop built-in simcard slot maybe not support 4g, maybe just 3g. That is true 3g dc-hspa is faster than 4g band 5 that current webe give you. Webe limited 4g to around 7Mbps only.

Hi, can anybody here suggest me good and cheap usb 3G modem that can work with webe? been hunting for TMgo modem but still cant find it anywhere. i guess i should settle for 3g modem.
*
Any 3g modem that support Celcom network you can use with webe. The cheapest one only support up to 7Mbps, then the modem support up to 21mbps, then the modem support up to 42mbps.

No need to find modem that support 4g fdd band5, as 3g dc-hspa is better and faster.

In my area 4g band5 with 2 bar, maximum download speed is 7Mbps while 3g dc-hspa got 20Mbps.

the guy claimed to download 40GB daily means he got a very stable line at 3.79Mbps for 24 hours downloading something which is not torrent, means he need to wake up 24 hours without sleeping to manually download stuff~ the advertisement 9,999,999GB means you need stable 30.86Gbps continuosly for 24 hours, which you won't get it anywhere in the world... can we sue them for giving misleading figure???
*
1MBps =8mbps (bytes vs. bit)
2.5MBps =20mbps

1GB of data download times = 8 minutes (20mbps)
1hour download = 4 to 6GB

Why need to wake up 24 hours. Download can be scheduled with IDM. 11pm to 6am the downloading activated, mean 7 hours non stop you will get between 15 to 30GB depend on internet stability. Then morning, afternoon and night usage is between 5 to 15GB. All include YouTube for kids, Netflix streaming etc. The pc is direct connected to 42inch tv as monitor.

This is not everyday usage. But 40GB can be achieved daily is not a myth. Webe just advertise 9,999,999GB is YOURS. No need to scare of additional charge even you can do 100GB daily.

Must be rooted. I'm using stock global MIUI Global 8.1.1.0 rooted. Without root only can tether via USB. With rooted can hotspot WiFi.

Ahh
Rooted..

So then I must go ask permission from Xiaomi to unlock boot loader... Etc

Easy to root?
*
After 2 days asked xiaomi for bootloader unlock, they approved. When bootloader unlocked, just install zcx twrp and root can be done easily with integrated supersu that come with zcx twrp.

The thing is you need to use VPN. Would spoil your iflix/netflix.
*
Spoil what. VPN will give better speed. Of course I'm using Malaysia VPN. So can watch whatever local services like iflix, Netflix Malaysia, Netflix us(just change dns) , astro on the go, tonton.my etc.

You will have problems doing that with Windows 10 anniversary update. You have a better chance with older Windows 10 and previous versions of Windows.

The damn thing for me is, all computers at home running on Windows 10 anniversary update.
*
I'm using Windows 10 anniversary update without any problems at all. Got same speed as using on Windows 8.

Can someone kindly share their experience of downloading P2P files since the speed is capped at 64kbps.

How long does it takes to download 700MB avi?

Thank you.
