Hahah... another person that wants to try breeding.... Breeding properly never stops with 1 pair.... it goes on and on and on.... I can say Thank Goodness I poisoned Foo and Jas into gerbils, if not, I don't think we will ever have such nice colours available or even have a market for gerbils in petshops.

Another thing... if pair sp with non-sp... not always will have 50% sp pups... I got a litter with only 1 sp out of 5 pups... sometimes I think it depends on the background of the parent gerbils and also how strong the sp is. For now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hoping to get some nice Sp in the upcoming litters.

Hahahah... but my dream is to get another yellow fox and another red fox. Truly beautiful colours that must have more. Now only 1 yellow fox and 1 red fox...

Anyway, I just went to Petaling Street.... still all Argente Gerbils, they do carry Ch coz the colour is not vibrant but the condition... aiyoh... hairless tails... can see the young ones are about 5 months old already... still none sold.

Hahaha... was hoping to get grey agouti and slate... damn hard to get. Well, anything that is new colour sure lah the breeder simpan. We are all hobbyist breeders... even if got someone offer me RM100 for my re fox and yellow fox I also won't part heheheh...

Not much smell... kinda similar to mongolians and the best is that you keep as single so the smells is very minimal... so far few days and I do not notice any smell... I use normal woodshavings summore hahahah.... but it lives in an old aquarium lah.

Yah.... Nutmeg when baby only is orange... when adult, full of ticking. Now I got 1 nutmeg baby boy, he still haven't show ticking.... hope he is like his dad lah, not so much ticking heheheh....

I agree with saying black is beautiful.. the shine is so noticeable than other colours... like a sleek panther hahahah... but ah, everyone that comes to my house see my gerbils as rats and very scared to touch... LOL.... kesian my gerbils....

HAhahahah... some say the nails very geli wor.... coz scratch them.. but I love my gerbils so much.. so cute... buy lots of vegie and food for them. Prelude's gerbils also fat fat from eating hahahah.... Now I just can't wait for Nescafe to pop.

Heheh... yah, Chokee's kids... I'm also hoping for a fox.. if got also I'll let you and Foo have 1 heheheh.... pray got lah. Her tummy is very big and each day she is growing bigger. Every morning I always expect her to pop but she still big big.... hahah, can't wait heheheh... I just hope got female yellow fox or female red fox... so can do more breeding on this colour.

Very safe heheheh... this year not many kids so I didn't let them handle any gerbils so all nice and fat. Your DEH is way fatter and bigger than your agouti lah.... but very cute when they play wrestling and sleep with each other.

Yups, that is true. The females are very dominant, they will determin who is in and who is out of the colony... the alpha male will be dominated by the alpha female... but the dominant male will keep track of who mates with the alpha... normally the dominant male would not allow other matings with the alpha female...

Females and males all make good pets... it is just how you would have them only. Lets say if you want more than 2 gerbils but you want to purchase at different times, males would be better coz it is easier to introduce... females are a bit more aggressive towards new comers and they fight really badly too.... I have seen a few already...

Wah, long time no see you here. So how many litters have your gf's gerbils produced? You got keep any?

Very high chance of fighting. This is why we need MANY tanks as a gerbil breeder and this is why we advice people to think twice before breeding.

Yah, I know hahaha... the previous owner mah.... well, what to do? Anyway, hope the babies are ok... just seperate the females with the mom and the males with the dad. So for you, 2 tanks is enough.

Heheh... having 1 duprasi is really nice to see... they are so different from mongolians... but they are just so expensive hahaahh....

Red Fox is growing very well.... His name is Red... LOL... so not original at all but he is very red mah hahahaah.... hope will have more.

Yay... some updates.

This morning Nescafe gave birth.... 6 healthy pups!!!! But only 1 red eyed and it is a female. I see a few dark coloured pups so it could be some blacks or agoutis.... there may be a DEH I think.... well, just born so cannot really see until a few more days later lah.

1 red eyed... hopefully is fox lah... if not then it would be maybe lilac...

Heheh... zoo... memang already like a zoo.

Well, hope this litter survives all the way heheheh... just checked the sex... got 1 male and 5 females... LOL... such an uneven number of male and females.
