Wah... your neck sure long long for gerbils liao hahahah....
Now I look back.... in 2005, nobody knew what was gerbil.... then around 2006, we started breeding and poisoning people with this cute creature hahahh.... then we found ways to bring new blood and gene into KL... now so many colours already. I wonder.... if we never had the interest in gerbils, I think there will only be 5 colours.... the black, agouti, lilac, nutmeg and DEH.... |

Hahahah.... sound so old lah ancestor.... but yah, I brought the gerbil trend here, I poisoned Foo into getting gerbils after putting my Scruffy on her palm heheheh.... Then gave her her 1st pair eheheheh... from then ah, Foo became addicted and source for more colours.... so can say ah, I bring gerbils first but Foo brought more colours along heheheheh.... Next to poisoned was Jaswwp hhahahah....

Hmmm... I went to Pets Wonderland at GEM.... was really shock to see their gerbils.... all agouti and were only 2 left. The price tag was RM48 but buy 1 gerbil, get another for free..... aiyoh.... pitiful also since they only feed kuaci and apple.... the gerbils look overweight and stressed since 1 is in a cage, the other I think in a tank or something.... then no place to hide and nothing to play but eat their food.... kesian kesian..... I hope PW do not get anymore gerbils again.

Gerbils are not hay eaters.... more like hay cheweres. I guess your gerbils chewed all the hay till very fine bits and pieces.... must be mixed around in the wood shavings and tunnels heheheh....

Gerbils love hay hahaha... but I will not give more hay if the tank looks like a messy hay and woodshavings tank... hahahah.... they just like to chew on it. My gerbils like to eat carrots... i cut little wheels in half so look like watermelon piece... then my gerbils eat in a way like eating watermelon ahaahha....
Oh, I read that cooked chicken bones is very good for rats.... but I wonder gerbils can or not since both also rodents and they gnaw on anything. And chicken bones can be a source of calcium too.... but I have not tried this on my gerbils. Successful with my rats... |

For gerbils, hay is very important. It gives them a sense of security, something to do, material for nesting and also something to nibble if there is a need for more fiber for their health heheheh....

HAhaha.... this one ah... hard to answer since I use up about 50 liters of wood shavings in 1 week. For you, 50 liters can last maybe about 3 months heheheh.... I think lah. Agak agak only.

Hmm.... maybe I agak wrongly hahahah....
Ok, the Chipsi Classic small pack... sorry, I forgot how many litters... but that can last a 1.5ft tank about 1 month if you change weekly.... hahah.... I think, so long lah since I did such changing but do not worry, for you is economical. I use RM21 Delikate large pack, that huge pack, can last me the most is 1.5 weeks hahahah.... Coz I got.... aiyoh, dunno how many tanks to change coz not only gerbils but hamsters and mice and rats as well kekekek..... |
