QUOTE(MGM @ Nov 19 2016, 04:42 PM) Never buy Samseng aircon, change control board within 1st year cos technician can't figure out d problem, luckily under warranty otherwise would cost half an Aircon. next time try contact supreme home, if not mistaken they have their own aircond repair shop, they are Samsung home appliance reseller.i bought 2 Samsung aircond from them, installation ok, now 1 year already. |

Thinking of buying stg and receiving it next week. Now the estimated delivery timeline is Nov 23-25. |

QUOTE(funnyTONE @ Nov 20 2016, 12:00 AM) have not installed it yet. I can take care the wiring part, but the not the installation of the ac itself . I might opt for hiring ac tech for the installation as i have not made up my mind yet.Nope, it does not come with installation, just with free delivery n decent cutlery set. well, at first i wanted to purchase midea(rm600)or hisense(rm600), since i can save around rm 100 for each unit, but i decided not too. Well, spending extra rm100++ for a reputable brand is a fraction of price we pay for piece of mind. We wont be replacing ac every year right? York is hands down the better brand among those you mentioned. Ok, so as I suspected, I may need to put aside some money for wiring and installation. Appreciate your input. |

Anyone bought stuff on 11.11 and still waiting past the promised delivery date? I ordered 7 items, 4 were delivered last Sunday (super impressive), 2 during the week (on time, including one imported item) but one is delayed indefinitely.
Anyone else in same boat? What's the best way to get CS to help? When I called and emailed, they say they're looking into it. |

QUOTE(Leon be here now @ Nov 20 2016, 07:57 AM) was buying few ac early this year, so i head to the ac forum in lyn to read and ask. Sometimes when there's an issue with a certain airconditioner, people will speak bad about the brand. With enough tract, the negative reputation will hold. York is one of the popular brand in Malaysia, certainly there will be a few bad cases. But from what I observe, the reliability and durability of York units are impressive. I myself have been using Daikin ac for years, and even they don't last as long as york. Granted, the inverter tech in Daikin is second to none, eventually it loses its cooling power after a few years.truns out that york not as good as your think coz something like since 2015 they getting their stuff from china, ie just an rebrand or hisense or midea cant remember the full detail. the old york is good but not anymore. just stick to the jap brand, pana, mitsu, daikin etc.... or buy the cheap china stuff, Anyway, did you know York factory also built Mitsubishi units? Also, its normal practice for lots of companies to outsource their components from China, its simply cost effective, but not necessarily undermining the quality underneath. Take Apple iPhone which is made in China as well. Oh and speaking of Daikin, they actually own York and Acson. Daikin buys OYL for £1.1bn Anyway, I do appreciate your thoughts on this. But I think I'm going to go with York. Its been great with Daikin, and I've nothing but praises for its inverter tech and quality. So now I'd like to try a local brand and test its capability in my home. |
