Does that means you put 45 days, then get 45 days of interest.
But if you put 20 days, then you get 0 interest?
*
aiyor, read properly la.

payment of profit (if any) will be paid based on the number of days

from PDS:

Customers may withdraw the Fund at any time and will receive the accrued profit (if any) based on the number of days of the investment.

put 20 days, get 20 days of profit lor.

this "feature/flexibility" was removed then reintroduced back for 1mth tenure (min RM5k) only.

So, each must select 1 month tenure to enjoy the %? What if select 2 months or other alternatives. Have read this thread a year back, when I wanted to join the party, they choose to block the way, forgotten what I have read  sad.gif
*
no. any tenure has its % profit rate.

1mth tenure need min RM5k placement. 2mth tenure above requires min RM1k placement.

Strange why they do like this.

They want customers to keep putting in and withdraw every month??!?  rclxub.gif
*
another reason probably because of the higher min RM5k/placement @ 1mth tenure, sure customers complaining the withdrawal restriction.

if 1mth tenure has min rm1k/placement, probably maybank retain previous decision to only grant profit upon maturity instead.

Yeap i'm well aware of that.
Still the thought of emergency fund still lingers.
and the new requirement for eGia is RM5k min compared to previously RM2k
*
rm5k min placement @ 1mth tenure is not a new requirements, as far as i can remember.

all these while eGIA/eFD has min RM5k/placement for 1mth tenure.

Just noticed GIA not available to place on M2U apps. Only MIA, cannot touch this one, right?
*
new m2u app, no
new m2u web, not available if you dont have existing GIA account. If you have, then can do new placement. use old m2u web to create new GIA account.
classic m2u web, yes.

I don't they target the same batch of old timrr
*
dont understand. what is "target"

maybank updates the gia rates on monthly basis.

no wonder they delayed this "feature" to 16 Aug, because that's the rate revision took place each month on the 16th.

the 2.5% p.a. for 1mth tenure should be new rate effective 16 Aug 2018 to 15 Sep 2018, yet to be updated in mbb website.

Sorry sifu for my poor language.
I meant if MBB provide only 2.5% meaning they are hoping for new group of customer who only aim for such interest in return, instead of old timer are using GIA to aim for much higher interest rate.

Apologize as I can't remember how it works as I only read previously about the good old time.
Is the interest immediate release together with principal upliftment? And every mid of each month will announce new interest rate, is this meant the placement between 16/8 to 15/9 will be based on previous month interest rate which is 2.5%¿
*
yes as long as 1mth tenure, profit together with principal.

it doesn't matter when is the rate announcement, profit calculation is on daily basis anyway

Uplift before maturity for those with 5k in one placement, got interest?
How is GIA rate now compared to Maybank online conventional FD?
Btw, I still have a few K in 1K per GIA cert - should I convert to convetional FD or just leave it as GIA?

not affecting 1mth eGIA

The above conditions does not apply for 1 month GIA-i placement. Customers may withdraw the Fund at any time and will receive the accrued profit (if any) based on the number of days of the investment.

the rest follows as posted by maybank.
