An update, that was quick. Called yesterday to redeem TP to offset SST, checked this morning it was already reflected since yesterday.

QUOTE(Xune @ Oct 26 2018, 08:18 PM) Was browsing Ringgitplus and saw an article with Mastercard Ikhwan revised card design. Anyone received the latest Mastercard Ikhwan card with Mastercard Contactless build in? ![]() For those using the old card without Contactless do we have to request it from Maybank ourselves? QUOTE(David83 @ Oct 26 2018, 08:23 PM) Yes. I think a few more users have theirs replaced. |

QUOTE(Gabriel03 @ Oct 28 2018, 01:07 PM) Nope, they will not offset for free so I didn't try. QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Oct 28 2018, 02:07 PM) I don’t think it’s common for them to do so. Some reported that they are able to redeem their great points to offset the sst, not sure if it is applicable to this card Been there, done it. Already reflected that's redeemed. |

QUOTE(putra23 @ Oct 29 2018, 02:25 PM) Good for you... I do not have sufficient TP to offset the SST. Cancelled card. Quite fast reflected in M2U. That's a pity but it only needs 10k TP which is quite low actually.I was hesitating to keep or not keeping this card as it is good to have but not something I die die must have. Eventually TP saves the day, I used TP to offset it. No headache. |

QUOTE(putra23 @ Oct 29 2018, 04:48 PM) Too bad the TP is insufficient. I use this card for petrol and groceries only. I also used TP from M2Cards, not from Ikhwan to offset.Last 3 years, annual cash back is around RM130. Not my top cashback cards. Now in the midst of consolidating cards due to SST. I use TP for MBB 2Cards though. |

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Jan 5 2019, 11:28 AM) Experts say it's almost impossible nowadays to get the Islamic cards if you hold any conventional cards. You can try search this thread or the 2 cards thread. Who says? Just check first page with suggestions how to get without opting for last resort to convert.Use your amex or convert your cards to Islamic cards. |

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Jan 5 2019, 05:57 PM) I spent a good amount of time trying to look for that post in this and the 2 cards thread but couldn't. Well, until someone confirms this from MBB then I guess we can take it's still possible. The closest is Post #2325. I remember I told someone to do this, then Clarence said something like nowadays Maybank don't prefer people to hold both conventional and Islamic cards at the same time. Keyword is nowadays/recent years, so in the past it would've been possible. |

QUOTE(anthabax @ Jan 9 2019, 07:41 PM) I got amex, ikhwan visa and ikhwan mastercard Yours is a bit different because you already have Ikhwan Visa earlier and Ikhwan MasterCard will be sharing limit, so no issue in adding new card. I think the struggle comes if one still doesn't have any cards from the Islamic entity.Just got my ikhwan mastercard today. So there shouldn't be any issue |

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 28 2019, 02:40 PM) Some said that MBB new direction is not to have cardholders from conventional banking to have additional cards from Islamic banking. My colleague just got her Ikhwan MasterCard one day after she got her FCB VS. Applied from The Gardens Card Centre. This was two weeks ago. So I think this is still possible. |

QUOTE(AOL24 @ Jan 30 2019, 10:42 AM) For my monthly salary, my CL is quite high. So maybe they think that I have enough CL, extending another card to me, may not be possible. No other tips. Just split limit. Like I mentioned, my colleague added her Ikhwan card one day after she got her Barcelona card.Other than the tips, do you have any advice? I applied at the Card Center in the Gardens. Did my Maybank 2 Gold there too, no issues during that application. Approved in 2 hours. That is my first and only CC, at the moment. Is it because I applied and received it in December, hence a cooling off period applies? Thanks in advance! |

QUOTE(AOL24 @ Jan 30 2019, 11:17 AM) Thanks. Yup, saw that post. Will seek input from the card center too. Maybe I missed something when filling up the form or didn't provide the correct documents. Card Centre will not be able to help you. Just send email to split limit, I did mine back in 2015 after I got rejected by them too and my CL was higher than yours. I split only RM 2k to Ikhwan and it remains the same until this day.Appreciate the help! RM 2k is more than enough for me. |

QUOTE(raclette @ Mar 4 2019, 04:24 PM) may i know what this means for current holder? can still use it until expiry and no longer able to renew? or its just that no new application. my new card is valid from march lol.. You applied Ikhwan AmEx? That's very unusual. We usually only have the MasterCard/Visa only. |
