What I mean by finicky frequency and voltage table is MSI Afterburner allows to control the voltage as per frequency curve on Pascal cards but it seems to have a mind of its own, everytime I undervolt too much it refuses to reach that frequency and stuck on lower frequency. A lot of new cards too seems to do this, Vega included. If I undervolt, example 900mV on Vega the frequency will hover around 1350MHz on complex games and 14xxMHz on simpler games disregard whatever I set. Its ok-ish since the card clever enough to know its own limit and keeps stable but very hard to do clock-to-clock comparison.

I love tweaking, almost everything I have is non-stock and modded in some way or another whether in software or hardware so Im a big exception from regular people.

I traded 980Ti with Vega56 for RM300 so win-win for me

i can't believe people are defending a 28nm housefire overcocked 980ti. in dec 2018.
at least with vega you have the option to undervolt and save 30% power.
it has ridiculously voltage overhead.

as for rm500 980ti, sounds about right. 1070 is already rm950.
if you price it rm700, might as well go 1070, which you can oc yourself get a 16nm chip and soon to be gimped drivers.
980ti is just junk and not worth buying today.

For Rm3299 that is a pretty good price. My friend bought 2070 Strix for Rm3500.   Can't cure a true fanboy.

Yeah man, >RM3k for 2070 is a waste of money imo, considering you can get 2060 for under RM2k. Extra 2GB + 15% of performance does not worth >RM1k

Meanwhile Radeon VII is pretty interesting, i wanna see the limit of this silicon. So far early adopter get pretty interesting overclock and undervolt results.

Mesa open source Radeon Linux driver RadeonSI received a patch to enable Primitive Culling with Async Compute and the result is huge performance boost for geometry heavy worloads. No result for games yet though, many games already have primitive culling baked in but not as efficient.

Honestly I'm not sure why the first flash and second bios flash failed. I got the original bios from tech power up.
