CS offered to waive my SST for me to keep the card. I said no and just proceed to cancel. They can keep the RM25, not gonna wait for another 10 days just for a CS to call me.

They should implement a kill switch to immediately block the card should the need arise since their customer service is bad. Imagine having unauthorized trx but you can’t do anything about it.

Did you submit through other request? SC digital banking is definitely one of the worst in MY. So difficult just to cancel a card.

I was charged both annual fee and SST. Wanted to submit a credit card cancellation request, told me I couldn't do it as I still have outstanding balance (which is my annual fee and SST), what kind of stupid process is this? bangwall.gif

Calling in an issue. There isn't an option to speak to a customer representative. The menu is a mess, few times I reach a dead end without any viable option + no option to go back to previous menu.

Also many unnecessary option. There are menus where there is only 1 option with no other options to choose. Why make customer choose an option when that is the ONLY option to choose from?

Whoever design the journey is a joke.

Need to cancel to get better offer. Its really a waste of time. Just cancelled my Liverpool card despite they offered me RM100 and free annual fee.

Very difficult to find a human to talk to. But some cards still have good benefit (i.e. SC Journey for PPL access).

So much hassle just to get the annual fee waiver. I canceled it despite them giving me waiver as I don’t want to deal with this hassle every year.

If your AF has been charged you cannot submit a normal cancellation request online as they deem that you have outstanding. You have to submit via Other Request. I just done mine and got a reply saying that my request is forwarded to the cancellation team and need to wait 5 days to call me back.

That is the way how SCB work now.
They no care customer cancel and no retention offer.
still CNY mode, even before CNY, their response also took few days. I wonder why? may be there are so many ppl sent msg to them, they have to read 1 by 1/

Card not cancelled yet. Nobody called me yet. There is still outstanding sitting in my card balance. Pretty shitty customer experience if you ask me.
