Perhaps the banks might employ different terms such as 'rebates' or 'credits' but functionally they are still waivers. iirc Citibank in particular used that reasoning ("we are required to charge SST by the govt") but will reimburse you by crediting the amount on the next statement after you pay. You still can get SCB SST waiver.. Just check today and already waived.  |
