Hi..

I think you mistaken me for someone else Jhnzr  hmm.gif .. I'm not Azhan Ezra abdul aziz, and no, I am not a network analyst..

Imagine me being a network analyst... biggrin.gif to think of it, it would be good to left the office without that diesel+engine oil+hydraulic oil smell on me everyday.

I hope you will find the real Azhan Ezra abd aziz though..Wish you luck. tongue.gif
1. Azhan is my middle name rclxms.gif thats why..
2. You wont find me in LDAP  tongue.gif because..
3. I left SLB since February.. laugh.gif

to any slb employee in here, I think you already know..be careful when posting something in here regarding slb.. whistling.gif
*
LoL

i thought we r trained not to mention names, rite? i bet someone didn't fulfill his RIRs objectives though.. tongue.gif

hehe...i think you will never put any blue coverall at all..working in the middle of the sahara desert and middle of the north sea...please don't bullshit others if u just know about slb via someone...your bro or what so ever...hehe....
*
wow, u sure very good SLB employer.. i bet andrew gould himself cannot justify one can or cannot work in SLB by a mere forum postings...maybe u shud update ur cnp regarding this man..who knows, maybe u could be transfered to clamart reporting direct to gould? tongue.gif

QUOTE(Jhnzr @ Jul 21 2009, 07:28 PM)
well..see who's talking...yours is really bad..maybe you not realize it..hehe..well i don't have to reveal anything here..and for sure you are not FE..or at least you are not really 'Field' engineer..huhu...
*
AFAIK, this thread exists to assist and provide info to all others in needs, and at the same time informer shud know his limit and abide to the company rules bla bla bla... but if u juz posting here to brag about being "more-field-engineer-than-others-thingy" at the same time don't want to share anything constructive + informative, i dare say u r juz spamming.. mad.gif

p/s: i'm here to seek more info bout SLB too..not try to argue over them..nevertheless, thanks enkadirmainbola for dat info.. thumbup.gif

Guys, some help with this?
*
dude, why dun u go ring slb office directly rather than hoping get info from this thread..im sure previous recruiter did handed over accordingly candidates' applications, regardless who's in charge now...im sure u'll get ur help more there than here..

QUOTE(cameltoe @ Jul 22 2009, 08:35 PM)
This thread alone already tells how much politics is already being played in the company.

People looking to catch each other red handed and give each other trouble.

Dangerous to work in such place other than money as a great motivation.
*
generalizing a company's working environment based on this thread alone would be a little too hasty, rite? yeah, u got the point there..people keep on arguing regarding works bla bla bla...but for a company operating at 80++ countries across continent with 87k++ employees all around the globe, how do u expect those people working around? peacefully + obediently + happily ever after? whistling.gif

juz wanna ask a simple question.. is there any company with so-called ideal working environment really exists? i dun think so,regardless how small it is...even a small chinaman company also got a lot of politics going on...

the bottom line is, juz adapt to working environment at the company, or else u shud be running ur own company then.. whistling.gif

i'll tell you about the FE's (IM) rotation( well mostly FEs will be given field breaks and FSs will get rotation).. it depends on your assigned country, your position, your status, business needs..etc..etc...even some countries has few operation bases but there are a lot of differences in few things for each respective base, except the basic salary which will be the same...here are some cases:

1. fixed rotation---> some get 6 weeks x 3 weeks, some 6x2..depends
2. field break----> some get 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 field breaks in a year and plus with 1 month annual vacation. For each field break(+/- 2 weeks), they will pay you USD 400 and USD 2K ++(nice if you have family coz u will get more) for your annual vacation.
3. Annual vacation only---> 1 month annual vacation only.

For the case 2 n 3, you can divide and arrange your allotted vacation accordingly every year. if you didn't take any field break for whatever reason within this year for example, company will automatically burn it but on the other hand your annual vacation still can be  carry forward to the next year if it is unused.

But as i said just now, it depends on your assigned country, your position, your status, business needs..etc..etc...even because of the economic turndown, it will ruin your field break or rotation.

Just my 2 cents.  icon_idea.gif

dude, u sounds more like experienced slb field engineer to me now...thanks for the info thumbup.gif

I heard the pay for fresh grad engineer in slb labuan is around rm4k and if you from outstation you get rm500 for housing allowance, get a vios car and etc.

On the other hand, working hours and load is crazy...heard that you have to work till late and have to come the next day early morning (normal working hours).

High pay, High work load
i dunno for speacialist, but for engineer trainee, u r not getting housing allowances but u are entitled staff house, which is shared bungalow/semi-D/apartment instead...forget bout the car..u only eligible to drive and bring company car home after one year of seniority in the company or breaking out, whichever comes first..

as for the workload, it varies on the segment itself..there's cases where loading out of equipment being done at night, so u hv to stay overnite...and also when calibrating stuff related with radioactive materials, they prefer to do it at nite where less people at the base..

the bottom line is, dun expect normal office work for slb...u'll end up sweating like donkey each day...n u like it dat way, u'll adapt to it in no time..or else, juz go find other relax job.. tongue.gif

How many forumers here who claimed that they are staffs from Schlumberger? 5 at most?
From just reading the replies from the few is enough to tell that most of you are already showing defections and insecurities. I wouldn't imagine to the extent of the 90k employees globally which your company has.
i think u r contradicting ur self here... u said at most 5 of forumers here are working with slb...and dat represents 5/90k = 0.005% of so-called defections and insecurities inside the company as per ur post...dat not even close to 1% of the total employee and yet u r deducting and judging the company...

nevertheless, its up to u to whether like or hate slb..u perceptions towards the slb doesn't lead any harm or good though.. tongue.gif

slb will continue on recruiting newcomers, but maybe not as many as before per intake..they dun want to have a gap between grades, which will happen if they stop recruiting newcomers...

at least that's what i've been told...so, keep praying..very HARD so that u will be taking in!

Bro, are you FE or FS?

Just now Ms Chin from recruitment called me regarding some of my info and she managed 2 say that i will be signing the contract at kemaman.

Curious , i thought that new employee has to go for OFS -1 before work at base.

What about the english test?

Anyway still waiting email for what nest step to do from a Vacation Trainee, shes in charge of me and my friends.

There are 4 of us, all from GMi , Process Instrumentation & Control.

2 of us go in testing, while another two in Well Services
*
for FST, they might go to OFS-1 after joining the company, depending how early they want u to start working.. they cannot afford to wait for next available OFS-1 just to get u guys into the company.

Yup,

supposedly my fren was offered at Labuan,

but then they called him and decided that he will be based at kemaman same as me.
Another question....

In the offer letter it states that salary rm3.7k

Is there any allowances for FS?
*
yes, there is for FS. But u will be joining the company as FST, so no job bonus yet, at least until u break out.. shakehead.gif but u will get like a geographic bonus when r got sent offshore though.

good luck dude! thumbup.gif
