So far, all discussion has centred on the technical aspects of the industry. What about the administrative side? Remuneration "No big deal" compared to other industries?

I would say the experience working with most all kinds of human beings. To me, learning new cultures are considered as a very good experience. Believe me when I say this will make you more mature.

Yeah, how do fresh IT grads get into SLB? I applied through their website but no reply at all. I applied about a month ago.

What specialization do they look for in IT students? Or will they assign us to non-IT jobs? What jobs do IT workers do at the offshore rigs (where the pay is presumed to be high)?

They paid you so much for reasonsss...Firstly, the working load is mountain high. Secondly, lets say if you want to change to another industry, where can you go? Thirdly, it shorten your lifespan shakehead.gif

Hey can some slb employee answer me on this.
On their website, it says that u need at least 24 months to make another application. Problem is, I can't remember when was the last time I applied. And now I feel like applying, will it be a big deal if I put another application within that 24 months?
Are they gonna have something like "THIS GUY DUPE ACC!!! BAN!!!"?

Just to share experience on the Shlumberger interview. I manage to go only up to the 2nd phase;

1. 1st round was not that difficult. They will ask you some normal question, regarding your achievement, your degree, your life etc. Be prepare to goreng2 during this stage. Its really fun. The lady who interviewed me was a hot chick.. Married ody la...

2. 2nd round. You will be given a group assesment, for mine we need to build a rig that can support 8 golf balls if I am not mistaken where my team failed hehehe.. Too bad..

One thing that I notice for their recruitment policy is they dont really care bout your degree... The point is you need to show that you are the person that they are looking for. They showed some picture of their people who slept on the deck. Guess their job must be like hell. The lady also told me that she was not even allowed to go back for her wedding day, up until the day before the occasion. It is true then that you will have poket penuh but live like hell...
