Personally prefer a Hitachi or that shitty Mashiba elevator if one cannot afford it. But there's EITA too...

depends which hydraulic pump technology. i used to work for lift and escalator company back in the 90s.

at least u can save on the dirty work of hacking floors, slabs & etc to fit in the car and rails and also the motor room and lift shaft pit

Schindler got made in China models and made in Europe models using different technology. those at your housing area should be China models.
Hitachi is preferred brand for escalator by architects but much more expensive than the rest.
