Finally a FF mirrorless I could consider! And best part it has FTZ to use my existing f mounts hehehe. Lucky I didn't splurge on xt2 to replace my xe2...

Now, I wonder what would the price be...

Single SD card failed me once, luckily sun not yet set and I manage to backtrack the images I need.

I'm always on dual-SD as long as commercial work, less critical stuff I'm ok with single card.

Single card is OK for me for video. One good counter-argument for single card slot is that it uses XQD of which to what I know is far better compared to SD.

As to failures, that doesn't mean it won't happen on XQD. In fact I find card failures are rare, it's just that I'm not willing to take the chances.
*
My only concern is the card slot choice, XQD... wonder if it would be compatible with the upcoming CFexpress (which I guess would have more choices of cards and wider adoption of the future systems).

xqd card slot backward compatible with Sdcards or not?
*
Nope, different slot. But it is same form factor as the upcoming CFexpress. That might be compatible instead.

My concern with Z is the lens.

Supposed if I buy Z now, and I want to use UWA lens - I buy AF-S 16-35 and use adapter.

This also means my lens not entirely future proof.

On the other hand if I buy S-Line lens, it's not backward compatible with F-mount.
*
I guess Nikon designed the Z mount to capture existing Nikon FF users... for me I like the Z series cause I can utilize my existing Nikon f mounts. But I suspect eventually Nikon might move into EVF style like the Sony A series...which is why the z mounts are developed.

Not the Z series. Another mirrorless camera brands. I knew a few friends who started to play dslr and switched entire system to mirrorless because of the size. Since u are from D3000, I just want to know why u are not moving to mirrorless but getting back dslr body. Maybe u are Nikon fans.  thumbup.gif
Get this. Cheap and good enough.

High MP is always good for macro shots and it's always a bonus. U can crop the photo and no one will ever know tongue.gif
*
Oh well, only time I appreciated the D800's 36MP is when I was shooting in DX mode at Sepang back then. Don't have money for the big guns, so was using D800 + 70200 VR2 + TC2.0, 8fps haha. Poor man set up... that also I had to crop ._.

Still comes to 24MP. tongue.gif Good stuff, D800 by today's standard could probably be just a little behind on the AF but overall still an excellent camera.
*
I haven't tested any of the newer bodies AF system, only the D800/D4 haha! Outdated systems. But my X-T3 is definitely much more spot on and consistent, too lazy to carry bigger bodies now... therefore considering to swap my Nikon system to mirrorless... now... need to sell them only buy, the finance minister making hell of noise.

There are spots in my image. Dusts on sensor? huh.gif

My camera d610 is still under warranty. Anyone know how much sensor cleaning charge at nikon centre and how long should it take?  icon_question.gif

Thanks smile.gif
p/s: the black banding is due to the obstruction from the airport fence.  blush.gif
*
Yes, dust on sensor. Try to lift up the mirror then use a strong blower perhaps? Should can get rid most of them unless you happen to have removed camera under condensation then it will stick :S.
