Harlo... was wondering whether anyone here is familiar with slow-motion videography on a budget? As in the FPS is higher than 60FPS?

Noticed that the Nikon J5 and Sony RX100 4 are usually the ones being mentioned, but are there better alternatives out there?

I like that the J5 supports interchangeable lenses, but I don't like the small sensor size T__T

Whoa... I think that cost should be to change AF motor and lens barrel kut... I'm also facing same dilemma with my 24-70 that requires changing lens barrel and AF motor. Nikon quoted 2.5k but that was some time back. I guess it would cost about the same with the current currency exchange.
If they go back to Nikon, wouldn't it cost the same or even more?

curious here, but why does a lens barrel need replacing? u all abuse the lens and bang it around til cracked?

and what do hobbyists prefer nowadays? like the sony rx100 series is now into its 5th version...
imo DSLR market isnt being fought with handphones...its just the social media generation that doesnt have the need for DSLR.
the DL line of cos looked like aimed at the pros and hobbyists who wanted to carry around something lighter in their free time...hence with the interesting 18-50...
what they really should have done is just release a generic model in the 24-85...and just KIV the 18-50 and 24-500.
instead they got over-ambitious in trying to release all 3...and hope to maximise profit when in reality the latter is probably gonna be the one that will pull down all profits.

If the light source is camera LED alone is ok but when you have ambient light and phone LED, it might cause a mismatch of which I find it difficult to fix - cool / neutral from phone but warm or even cooler lights from surrounding.

The point you highlighted is definitely worth consideration, however if I were to light it I'll have to do it light painting style. Don't like it from single direction.
