Hi, i am planning to install cctv for my new house but i have no knowledge on this.
May i know how you all install the cctv? DIY or ask the seller install for you?
If i ask my electrician to place the Cat6 cable first then only ask the CCTV seller help me install, will it cause any issue and will it cost cheaper? Thank you.

Not DIY, but currently doing renovation.
I asked my wireman to setup CCTV cabling in my house, they use conduit for CCTV cables.

Hi, you don't conceal CCTV cabling inside wall/ceiling? Is there any special reason?

Actually nowadays, a lot good and cheap system use Coax cable (RG59 / RG6), like TVI, CVI, AHD..
Still, if u lay CAT6, then u hv 1 more option, which is IP, by adding balun, TVI, CVI, AHD can run on Network cable also.

U can ask wireman to lay cable 1st, then buy system from CCTV seller, cost will be cheaper also. But make sure before ur wireman lay the cable, get consultation from cctv seller, like camera location, dvr location, what cable to use, etc...

Anyway, if ur house at klang valley, we can help u too.. :-)
Any question jz PM me.
