Hi guys!

I'm building my dream house now (currently in the early stage of foundation and ground beam) and expected to start the electrical wiring within 3 months. I will use my wireman to pull cables for alarm n cctv. btw He doesn't know how to setup the alarm n cctv, so I'll setup myself.

So my question:

1. I have no experience in cctv or alarm installation, but I consider myself to be quite good in following manuals and quick learner in IT stuff haha. (btw I setup my own networking in my offices and home. with mikrotik/ubiquiti hardwares). How's the learning curve in setup the alarm and cctv?

2. Alarm: I'm considering the Paradox Magellan wireless alarm system. Is this okay? I really do not mind changing the batteries. The convenience of no wire is very appealing to me, is there any other concern with this system?

3. CCTV: I'm planning to have IP based cctv, with 8 indoor and 8 outdoor cameras. My whole house will be wired with cat6, so I think I should just go with poe-powered cctv? Any recommendation of system/brand?
