QUOTE(fxgamerbah @ Oct 1 2021, 03:10 PM) They have to search and dig out the thread first, which takes some effort, hahaha... So might as well just whack the main thread coz that's always on top.Ok, I go dig out the thread and give them an assist, hahaha... (Oh, and no one has mentioned U-Mobile yet - at all!) QUOTE(ahlin @ Oct 1 2021, 04:30 PM) Online delivery usually is safe. Unless you pick up at store then they might give you different reason I already gotten my leave approved on the 8th to go queue at maxis centres, hahaha. Now, I’ll probably just need to be at home and wait for the phone Can't imagine 3 years instalment for a phone, well at least for me. Welcome to another side of world! Yeah, 3 years instalment for anything is long - unless it’s a car, hahaha. I remember Courts Mammoth used to offer up to 5 years instalments! QUOTE(fuze @ Oct 1 2021, 07:00 PM) Does anyone know if anyone who missed the pre-order can walk-in at any Maxis Centre on 8 Oct and get the iPhone on the spot? There will be stocks available for walk ins but be sure you identify actual maxis centres vs maxis exclusive partners, i.e. dealers. If you’re in the Klang Valley, you can target the flagship outlets that will probably carry more stock - KLCC, Gardens, Pyramid, TTDI and IPC. Mind you, the queue there is usually long.I had a Maxis staff telling me that people who walk-in on 8 Oct will only get to pre-order and not buy the iPhone. Anyone have any other info? QUOTE(KaiHD @ Oct 1 2021, 07:15 PM) yeah you’re correct. i actually posted about this in main thread also for 13 Pro Max: And here’s the kicker: if you really need to pay in instalments, you can actually request to do so at the maxis centre while buying at the contract price - so Zerolution serves a very small and niche crowd, like those who do not have any credit cards or those who actually can claim device prices from their company via the phone bill.https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...ost&p=102486826 basically, in pure device cost: 2-yr standard contract < 3-yr zerolution < 2-yr zerolution < apple retail fuze liked this post

QUOTE(KaiHD @ Oct 1 2021, 07:50 PM) unfortunately i don’t have credit card so that’s why i had to go with zerolution… last time i applied cc with maybank they rejected me, and told me it probably because i have ptptn loan in ccris (even though i pay double the amount required every month without miss) Ah, OK, yes, that’s unfortunate. Zerolution works for you then! I also have my iPad Pro and Watch Series 5 on Zerolution with maxis - coz that’s the only way I can subscribe to their tablet and Watch plans so it’s all not that bad! |

QUOTE(fuze @ Oct 1 2021, 08:02 PM) Nowadys not sure if can camp in mall anymore or not, but i’ll be the first one to show up when they open! Malls will be difficult, as they will be subject to the management’s guidelines and it’s especially tougher now with Covid SOPs. I’d suggest you go to the branches in shop lots like TTDI or Klang. fuze liked this post

Anyone has experience with maxis delivery? Who do they use as delivery partner?
This is my first ever successful pre-order with them, hahaha. I’ve always had to walk in to get the device I want over the years. |

QUOTE(ahlin @ Oct 1 2021, 09:04 PM) I had, but totally forgotten what courier they use. But they do request to see my IC for verification. Ahh, ok. Pity we won't get midnight delivery - that would be fun QUOTE(dikae @ Oct 1 2021, 09:45 PM) Did you guys opt for the rm52/month safe protection plan? I actually remove it before checkout yesterday but KaiHD said first 3 months foc and can cancel after that...so I rugi 3 months free safe plan? No, I removed mine. Knowing me, chances are I will forget to cancel it after the FOC period has lapsed and then wonder what on earth did I just get billed for |

QUOTE(KaiHD @ Oct 1 2021, 10:38 PM) lol with these free trial subscriptions, i make it a habit to put a reminder on my phone to cancel 1-2 days before it expires Haha, same, did that for my Apple TV+ free subscription as well but the irony is that I've now gone full Apple One subscription - and on the family plan to boot! eg. I told Siri "remind me on 19 October to cancel my Apple TV+ trial" so i never forget hahaha |

QUOTE(vez @ Oct 2 2021, 01:39 PM) maxis midnight delivery seems happen for few years, iPhone 6, 6S, 7 if not mistaken Ya bro, he was at the helm during the whole "different treatment for different customer" fiasco that shook up maxis, hahaha... I guess in a way the whole fiasco was a blessing in disguise for us maxis users, MOP128 used to be only 3GB i remember few years the CEO do deliver, but forgot that year have or not that CEO (Morten Lundal) is the worst from maxis era, he is the one implement those stupid thing to maxis mobile plan, i know he is digi CEO before joining maxis, thanks god he left 3-4 years ago and the lowyat post regarding maxis one plan issue is during this CEO era, pave the way for MOP98 from 1GB to now 40GB I remember threatening to port out during that whole fiasco but I know I won't do it coz at my housing area only maxis line is decent, have tried Celcom, DiGi and even U Mobile, hahaha... That's why every time my contract with them ends I gladly sign another one.. it's not like I'm going anywhere (and maybe they also know this already by now!) |

QUOTE(fuze @ Oct 3 2021, 06:56 PM) My iPhone 12 was delivered by Brightstar. Ahh okie, hopefully no screw ups this year Fingers crossed everyone's iPhone 13 will be delivered on time this year. Last year Maxis screwed up pre-order from A to Z. Sudden change date of delivery, delayed delivery (one day after) although for Klang Valley customers. |

QUOTE(dikae @ Oct 5 2021, 10:35 AM) a maxis hq insider friend told me those who pre-ordered on 1st oct will definitely get their phone on 8th oct.. and good news they will also have stocks available for walk ins across all the walk -n centres..but limited... cant confirm how accurate but at least some good news QUOTE(ahlin @ Oct 5 2021, 11:25 AM) Hmm, two very conflicting information here, hahaha… I have not received any calls or mails yet but if it’s from the 12th onwards I would be pissed coz then might as well walked in on the 8th |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Oct 5 2021, 12:07 PM) Yeah, but maxis did put up a disclaimer to cover their a$$e$ - available from 8th onwards based on stock availabilityHahaha, we’ll have to wait and see… QUOTE(dikae @ Oct 5 2021, 12:09 PM) lol whatever I see or hear before the launch will be taken a pinch of salt, as anything could happen so better just wait for 8th and we will know, anyway its just 3 days from now Exactly, hahaha. It makes a mockery of their preorder mechanisms…and yes, imagine if those who bought within 30 mins of pre-order opening and only receive their device few days from launch, meaning next year onwards bye bye to their pre-order coz nobody will ever camp midnight PO anymore, might as well just walk in on launch day and grab, so in a way, retailers are not dumb as well to kill their own PO which is the best secured sales for them... |

QUOTE(ahlin @ Oct 5 2021, 12:35 PM) Not too worry, keep the hope high. At least you got a call so that’s good. I’ve not gotten anything yet No, they person was clueluess when I asked her further question. Yea, that's why I don't really care. They just confirming my address detail, as for the delivery, let's see. QUOTE(andrewtho @ Oct 5 2021, 12:53 PM) Ya, from 8th - but Brightstar fella mentioned from 12th. Have they called you as well, bro?Hahaha either way, fingers crossed its just a hoax. Feels like time pass really quick this week. Hopefully, still got hope. In a good way, Maxis already communicated your parcel to their logistics partner, means things are moving. |

QUOTE(meltan @ Oct 5 2021, 02:15 PM) From my past experiences, Maxis will inform/call you a day before to give you a time slot to pick up your phone from respective outlets. Yeah, should have chosen self collect instead. Oh well, let’s see if they call soon. Not too sure about delivery as the last time i opted for that was for 7 Plus. |
