Just a quick glance , it appears SC has increased the approved funds for AS1M from 14 billion to 14.88 billion ; For ASM, its 17 billion to 19.8 billion.

Good news for us who are not hoping for dividend via cheque I suppose !

Source : page 6 of the link given by nexona88

If fund sizes for AS1M and ASM have been increased BUT there is no mention of ASW2020,.... does it mean that ASW2020 will be giving out divvies in the form of cheques from September 1st, 2017 ?

Anyway, I think soon,... there will be lots of units. As soon as the MYR appreciates,... just an outlook,... as a forward-looking investor.

U can pm me  brows.gif
Btw, I wud suggest u sell on 1st Dec n park in mmf while awaiting opportunities
The rationale is to maximize your returns in ASx as u earn zero if half-way withdrawal in a mth
*
Tks, bro,..I may not exit and convert in December if the RM is not strong enough,.. I'll just use my own cash first.

Okay-lar Brian,... I believed in Newton's Third Law,... every action comes with a reaction,... I have seen people appreciating my posts. You are the reaction now saying that my posts have no quality,...

I won't debate this.

let's all grow rich with PNB

In PNB we trust

Hmm,... I used to think like this, Chrono,... but after the RM started falling and losing its purchasing power, this idea, I'm afraid is no longer true,... Like I said earlier, if the purchasing power of the RM is near to the SGD's, then YES,... this is the best, if not one of the best investments, in the world,...

Any idea where to put money now?

I very conservative in my money.

Can put in Singapore dollar?
*
I think buying the SGD and the USD now is better,... diversify out. Not only the SGD. But need to do it quickly,.....

Then find ways to invest the SGDs and the USDs,... look at the many discussions in this forum. Prince, AVFAN and others will comment too, bro,... thumbsup.gif

Problem now is need to do it quickly,.... I think the utmost thing is to go open the bank accounts in Sgp first,... before they close their doors. But of sourse, you must prepare the funds, no need in millions, bro,...

is my calculation correct if I put money in Singapore dollar FD more worth than PNB?

For example ASW2020 gives 6.1% return for RM100,000

after 1 year :  RM106,100
If put in Singapore dollar FD for 1 year, 1.15% return but with 6% appreciation against ringgit, return is still higher than ASW2020 in ringgit term?
*
QUOTE(Ramjade @ Nov 18 2016, 11:14 AM)
Depends. If RM can depreciate by > 6.x% against SGD/in a year. People who park their money in SGD usually buy SG REITS.
Undergraduate student only la.
*
Ramjade hit the bullseye, bro Chrono,...If you buy SG REITs, you will earn the dpu in SGD (which would be more than 1.15% per yr), on top of earning the exchange rate !!! Sale season is coming for SG REITs,....

But like I said earlier,.. the problem now is need to do it quickly before SG Banks close their doors,....

How to open account in SG? Need to go there physically?
Will there be many rules / documents needed for foreigner to open account there?
*
There are many suggestions here in this forum,.. maybe read up here and there, filage,.. but,.. to suggest a quick way to you, do the following :-

1) Call Standard Chartered, Sgp, tel no : 65-67477000, ask them what documents are needed. Tell them of the date that you will be going down. Tell them you intend to do at No : 1 Battery Road.

You do this so that they can't refuse you later ! Bro,... don't go to other branches ! Open at No 1, Battery Road.

2) Gather the docs, then go down !

3) At a minimum, open the eSavers, SGD and USD Settlement Accts.

Bring SGD 1200 with you, you need to put in SGD 1000 into that eSavers Acct.. After that, wait for your token and the ids and passwords to reach your house. Then you can start from there.

let's concentrate back to ASx, nowadays kind of hard to get units... i am keep on hunting at this moment

It's all for discussions, gents,... coming from both sides of the spectrum,...

I appreciated the fact that, there is still confidence in the ASX. Otherwise, there is no chance to sell at all, because nobody would want them anymore. Hopefully, that day never comes.

There was a scare recently whereby somebody said that PNB does not allow selling more than a certain amt or something, which, in the end, was just a misunderstanding,....

Hahaha... cronies attacking Lone Ranger... at 1 place talk abt fair chance, the other side releasing units to crony... no wonder you guys speak the same language, 一唱一合... anyway, I can sense your objective of selling the idea of "selling asx and buy sgd/usd" to others... good try...

If you cronies are really want to help other readers on forex trade, please discuss in other thread. Coming here to talk abt forex trade is out of topic.
*
Bro,.. relax,... nobody is trying to kill the ASX here. We are just discussing both sides of the ASX - THE STRENGTHS AND THE WEAKNESSES. I sense that you are really keen to buy the units and perhaps are not able to get more units, you will have to do what that has been proposed here, you must continue your hunting. Everybody has to do this, myself included.

Logically, if a holder releases a large number of units, the chances are higher for a buyer at that moment. This is common sense.

If postings are sensible and not totally absurd, being out-of-topic is still okay if it presents both sides of an argument. NO need to shut other comments and ask people to go back to their forums. If you have good debates and ideas, you can go to the other forums too, perhaps you have thought of something that we have not,...

So, give a chance for everyone to say something,... this is the purpose of a forum.

You know something ? If people don't talk, everybody loses. You may not like what I said, and I may not like what you or another says, but if somebody says something, then we learn about what we have out there,... the sentiment,... I will be scared if somebody does not say anything and takes action quietly behind my back.

Another eg - you said my posts have no quality - I accepted that !!! YOU have a right to say that. This statement is very useful to me, why ? It makes me pull back whenever I wish to talk more,..

Malls are struggling everywhere.  cry.gif
*
Bro,... err,... in Msia, online purchases cannot work,... yet,... or perhaps forever,... unlike China, Japan, Sgp and a host of other countries. Anybody knows why ?? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yes, the malls in Sgp are not working well, and rentals are dropping. But depends on the mall locations too. Look at the model of Fraser Centrepoint Trust, J69U, I think,... This is one that has a higher chance of doing well.

Choose your REITs carefully,....

PNB unit trust funds hit 210.63 billion units as of October
http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...-as-of-october/
*
thumbsup.gif There will always be demand in these units,... a good method of hedging here while awaiting opportunities to convert ! If WEst Msians start to look higher, there are always the East Msians to fill the gap ! thumbsup.gif

There may be other investments out there,... but I still say if one does not wish to look too far,... PNB is still good !!! Anytime better than FDs in Msian Banks.

Yeah,... in the past, because of profit-smoothing, even if KLCI index drops, the PNB FP funds can still give out good dividends. Hence, I would still bet on the PNB FP funds if I wish to invest in the Ringgit.

But if u observed, over the years divvy rate dropping...
But on side note, based on news I saw today, almost 90% of ASx holders are bumiputras.. So I guess the rate won't go so low till reach FD rate.. If that happens why just dump in FD, and got pidm protection too devil.gif
*
Yes, dropping gradually over the years, but looking at the rate it's been dropping at, it will be another few years before it reaches 5%, IF THE DROPPING TREND CONTINUES.

So, we continue to hold and gain knowledge and convert into other instruments while the dividend rate is still "high". By the time the rate reaches almost 5%, we would have gained enough knowledge abt investments elsewhere, and would have built our investments elsewhere to replace ASX FP.
