definitely a good choice compared to poor FD rate.
you may try MBSB negotiated rate 4.15%  6month min 50k, 4.2% 9 month min 200k,
talk to manager, that is not board rate. i have not received my bond paper. have you received yours?
*
Received CIMB 2 page advice on the bonds, payout 5.5% printed.

Still planning for early Jan actions with some allocation for FP. Expected return to be lower but guess still better than FD. biggrin.gif

yeah 5.5% is considered in our favour already.   i have not received mine yet.

Ya u should receive yours by Tues or so. My relative received on Thursday and I received mine on Friday. Just 2 page document and it showed 5.5% coupon rate.

If ASNB can give > retail bond > FD rate, then I think most people will be happy. biggrin.gif

For many years, the dividend rate of PNB funds has been well above local banks' FD rates. If, today,... the mgmt of PNB is going to go by the FACT that Malaysians would be happy with anything just above FD rates, then the good times have come to an end.

Too bad,.... sad.gif

How about >3% above bank 12 mth FD board rate ? hmm.gif

Well,... I was happy with 6.3% to 6.4%, not anything less. If this drops below 5%, I would work harder to send every sen that I make out of this country. Secondly,.. I wouldn't want to save any of my funds in the Ringgit anymore.

Myself wise, FD highest still running 4.6%. CIMB Klibor got 5.2% for 4 years+ and recalled. Now CIMB bond 5.5%.

So if can get 3.1% (MBB 12 mth board rate) + 3%, >6.1%, will be happy. Sure, the higher the better ! biggrin.gif

4.9% is like near to FD rate..
I think the Cimb bond pays higher than that rate too..
*
The CIMB bond coupon rate 5.5% but actual is slightly lower due to the 1% sales charge. Payout every 6 mths. rclxms.gif
